In Kavanaugh’s opening statement he’s going to say sometimes he drank to much and he did some things that he regrets and made him “cringe.” That’s the dumbest thing he could do. If he’s not confirmed you can bet the talk will be he admitted to drinking to much and there’s the possibility he did things and can’t remember. His “Council” were idiots for letting him put that in his remarks but he said tbe same thing in the Fox interview and I told my wife it was a big mistake because democrats will wrap it around his head.
Maybe skipping classes, drinking underage.
Unless, of course, there is a clear writing somewhere in his past where he says he drank beer (and the odds are he had a least a half of one beer in high school).
The dems would have looked forward to asking him about his college years and drinking hoping to trap him. That is no longer available to them.

Exactly. Kavanaugh will not acquit himself well. AND he will NOT go “all Clarence Thomas” because 1. He himself , regardless of his previous statements, is probably not as sure he didn’t do what he is accused of as Blasey Ford is “100%” sure it was him, and 2.It is not in his character/personality to present himself like Thomas presented HIMself. Thomas made it impossible for them NOT to confirm him-—it was the quickest way they were offered to forget about having their motives and tactics thrown into question, and they took the opportunity.
