As the political fight over the sexual assault allegation made against Brett Kavanaugh intensifies, Democrats are indicating that -- even if confirmed -- they intend to drag the fight over his Supreme Court nomination past November, raising the possibility of an impeachment push.

At some point, R’s in the Senate have to figure out there is no middle ground. It’s scorched earth time by the D’s. R’s have to choose a side and act.
This is the Soros DNC. Nothing is ever settled until they win, and any means necessary means any means necessary. And the ratchet only goes one way.
Take the vote!
All talk.
Without 67 votes in the Senate, they’re just going to have to live with it.
No Supreme court Justice has ever been removed (only one impeached in the early 1800’s), even though there have been several that certainly deserved to be
Impeachment based on ZERO evidence when they need 67 votes? They’re just blowing smoke to appease the rabid base.
Yep; I want a divorce from these lying cheating thieving communist dems. I never want to have to lay eyes on their ugly faces again.
With their cold dark hearts they should survive in the antarctic just fine.
the Marines are good. Trump can count on them.
Just wait for the protesters on Monday....
Ok, let Congress reveal the beneficiaries of its secretive $17 million slush fund for paying off sexual harassment claims (the pols, not the victims) and let each one resign or be impeached or expelled. Then Congress might have some moral authority to pursue Kavanaugh. Physician, heal thyself. Remove the beam first. And let’s remember that these claims came from behavior while in Congress, not 36 years earlier.
Yeah...that's not going to happen. But I'm sure this is an effort to deliver a message to Kavanaugh that the circus will never end if he doesn't withdraw.
Agree 100%. This is the sound of the Dems acknowledging defeat. They know impeachment is unlikely, but talking about it provides a smoke screen to cover their retreat.
There is nothing sacred about the democrat party. Trump should declare a national emergency, and have them all arrested.
Sheldon nuthouse is bluffing. I’m sure fineslime investigated the accusation as soon as she received the letter. If there was anything to Prof Fraud’s charges they would have produced her long ago.
Now all they have is a close holed letter with unsubstantiated charges to use as a last ditch delaying tactic. Good luck with that in a serious hearing.
Let’s start the civil war immediately and get it over with. Paging John Brown!
Sedition is overt conduct, such as speech and organization, that tends toward insurrection against the established order. Sedition often includes subversion of a constitution and incitement of discontent towards, or resistance against lawful authority. Sedition may include any commotion, though not aimed at direct and open violence against the laws. Seditious words in writing are seditious libel. A seditionist is one who engages in or promotes the interest of sedition.More at Wikipedia
Here is the convoluted reasoning - If Kavanaugh IS confirmed, then that act will energize the Democrats and the left to such a degree they will gleefully pursue vote fraud in as many venues as they can get away with, and the turnout will appear to be much larger than ever. The Republicans, satisfied that they have won yet another round for Trump, will be much less motivated, and some may even stay home, believing mission accomplished, their help not needed as this was an off-year anyway.
Once the dust has settled around the election (and that is by all means still very much up in the air), the Democrats hope to have a majority in both House and Senate, allowing talk of impeaching Justice Kavanaugh to go forward, priority just behind Vice President Mike Pence and their biggest target, President Trump himself.
They had be very careful how they spend their ammunition. If you shoot at the King and miss, the consequences may be a little too gruesome to contemplate.
No longer government “Of the people, by the people, for the people”.
“With their cold dark hearts they should survive in the antarctic just fine.”
And the R’s who are wobbling can go with them. I don’t know who it is, but one or two key senators (Flake, Collins, Gardner??) are wobbling.
Leadership should use a whip and remove them from all committees if they don’t stiffen up. Then off to Antarctica.
