The Department of Justice (DOJ), FBI and Office of the Director of National Intelligence are reportedly expected to propose redactions to a series of documents related to the Russia investigation that President Trump ordered to be declassified this week.
Bloomberg News reported on Wednesday that the agencies are currently doing a methodical review of the documents. There is no official timeline on when their evaluation of the sensitive documents will be finished.
But the news outlet, citing sources familiar with the process, noted that the FBI and the DOJ plan on submitting their proposed redactions to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
The office is expected to then assemble the material and turn it over to the White House, Bloomberg reported.

Now Trump has got their tender parts in a vice.
Damned if they do and damned if they don’t.
This should be check-mate.
Now for the ‘cassis belli’ [Latin for ‘reason to fight’] ...
It can indeed appear corrupt if you fire someone for being a whistle blower. But if you fire someone for HIDING information, that’s righteous by almost any definition.
If they claim ‘ongoing investigation’ or ‘national security’, it would be like the sheriff in ‘Smokey and the Bandit’ — ‘I’ve been in hot pursuit for the last thousand miles.’
“Fire and fury may not be necessary or desirable if the deep state can be disposed of in a more low profile manner.”
I realize that might seem ideal. But if all things being equal, I’d favor HIGH profile — if you drain the Swamp slowly, you give its creatures time — what is called in chess ‘initiative’.
Flood the zone — that’s what’s been working best so far.
Then again, if he can get the hooks even deeper and net more fish all at once, that’s good too. Or get the big fish.
But don’t forget — he can pardon the little fish later on if they cooperate.
Yes, and thank God!
We still have a Constitution which will be judiciously refined by the Liberty Amendments.
New tagline:
Romanesque indeed!
Just before the rise of Pompey Magnus the Senate murdered the equivalent of Roman constitutionalists and banned the Roman equivalent of ‘constitutional amendments’.
“Id favor HIGH profile ”
I would like to see that too - if only for the mere satisfaction. But I think Trump is more patient than I am - and that’s a good thing.
I believe a great many of these swamp creatures were caught dead to rights long ago but left in place rather than fired. This is standard operating procedure in police investigation and counter intelligence. Offer deals in return for cooperation. Then you leave the asset in place where they can be of the greatest use. Maybe beat the crap out of them (at least metaphorically) to make it seem like they didn’t cooperate. Sessions is certainly getting banged up - how much of that is to provide cover?
This idea that Trump would have done a high profile purge - but has been blocked by Sessions’ recusal and some RINO senators - is naive. That’s not commonly the way it’s done.
Here’s something hugely significant that went largely unnoticed the other day: The FBI was given the perfect opportunity to tank Kavanaugh’s confirmation if they so desired. All they would have had to do is agree to open an investigation per the Democrat demands. Instead they took a pass, virtually ensuring Kavenaugh’s appointment.
Hardly the behavior of an FBI still controlled by the deep state, out to unseat Trump and thwart his agenda. Could it be the deep state no longer has the upper hand? Could it be they are too preoccupied with covering up their own crimes, too disconnected from their paymasters and handlers, too “outed” by their own texted boasts, to carry out their original anti Trump agendas? Could they be ratting each other out in return for deals?
It sure looks like that to me.
Well, the week isn't over, but it is now Thursday and there has been no release and multiple reports that redacted documents will be sent to the WH with no direct release by the DOJ at all. The offices of the ODNI and the DOJ have also said that they are working on a process for review, so it sure looks like they are not complying with the President's direct order.
No federal official has gone on the record saying anything. The Carter Page FISA application will be released first. Any day now it’s coming out and no later than next week.
Carter Page will be happy. Be happy.
yep and if that does not happen by end of day, start firing because they no longer work for the USA
Every single member of The Deep State Mafia needs to be fired.
They are in control of the courts, the Federal Government and the ABA so do not count on it. We have good honest lawyers but they are few and far between and certainly will not buck the ABA or system. They are like the Good FBI and CIA agents. They are afraid.
Donald J. Trump Verified account @realDonaldTrump 14m14 minutes ago More ....has been asked to review these documents on an expedited basis. I believe he will move quickly on this (and hopefully other things which he is looking at). In the end I can always declassify if it proves necessary. Speed is very important to me - and everyone! 666 replies 1,034 retweets 3,049 likes Reply 666 Retweet 1.0K Like 3.0K Direct message Donald J. Trump Verified account @realDonaldTrump 20m20 minutes ago More I met with the DOJ concerning the declassification of various UNREDACTED documents. They agreed to release them but stated that so doing may have a perceived negative impact on the Russia probe. Also, key Allies called to ask not to release. Therefore, the Inspector General.....
President Trump voiced respect for (two) allies who are clearly in the documents prior to the tweet yesterday.
Without a doubt, one is the UK and the other is likely Austrailia.
There’s nothing wrong in the President slowing it down a little for that consideration.
Documents will begin seeing release next week.
And then there are charges that the British and Australian governments were part of the surveillance plot against Trump.

Well, here we are weeks later and still no release. Nunes was on Fox Cable this morning emphasizing how important it is to release the unredacted documents. If the GOP loses the House, all of this will vanish forever.
I figured as much. The DOJ is not under Trumps control. They re are under Obama and Hillary control. DOJ can be controlled but not by a senile puke like Jeff Sessions. Rosenstein? What an unholy mess.
