When she was running for Governor in 2002 against Linda Lingle (a RINO) we were campaigning for Lingle, Hirono got very close to our sign waving so we started yelling MAZUI, MAZUI and she thought we were for her. Hirono came to the States at the age of 3 and does not speak Japanese.
Here in Hawaii the state has been run exclusively by DemocRATS for 64 years. The only exception was Linda Lingle a RINO 2003 to 2009 as Governor. The Senate and House besides our Governor now are all controlled by RATS. Out of 120 elected officials, 115 are Dems.
CA. is exactly the same house and senate have super majorities of Dems immigration and open borders have caused this COMPLETE turn about it is so hard to believe that Reagan was once the governor of this liberal bastion!!!!!!

For a long time, I have been under the impression that Patty Murray was the dumbest woman in the Senate. How did I miss Mazie Hirono (D., Hawaii)?
And I lived there when CA. was as you say a Reagan state. In fact in 1960 we were helping Barry Goldwater in Vallejo. At that time Reagan was big on tv with the GE program. Well, he gave a rousing speech at the county fairgrounds there and that was the speech that vaulted him into running for Governor. A far cry from the Fairy Jerry Moonbeam of the Hollyweird and San Fransicko ilk.
