Special counsel Robert Mueller really, really, r.e.a.l.l.y doesn’t want to sentence former National Security Advisor General Michael Flynn for lying prior to the release of the of the unredacted text messages and the IG Report on FISA abuse.
Nothing would be more devastating for Mueller’s political objectives than to sentence General Flynn – and then have the nature of an entrapment scheme exposed. Hence yet another incredulous delay (this is the fifth delay):

I think with today’s news Mueller’s days are numbered. Flynn will see him hang.
Mueller will be fired after the Election.
Flynn might get the Papadopoulis treatment: two weeks in jail.
That’s a lot of investigative money for a tap on the wrist.
Mueller will be spending the rest of his life in prison for sedition and other abuses of power if he is not killed in a Trump SWAT raid which is what I think should happen. Trump cannot send Mueller to Hell, but he can arrange the meeting.

Good point. Flynn should absolutely go ballistic on Mueller for destroying his life and finances. Literally nothing Flynn could do to Mueller would be unjustified given the torture Mueller has put Flynn through. Mueller is a criminal and conspirator of the worst kind.
Why does he control the sentencing date? Isn’t that up to the judge?

I do not care if Paul Manafort is sleazy, or if he committed crimes. He has been denied due process; his rights have been trampled. Mrs. Manafort was literally terrorized. Terrorized! But it is all treated like acceptable political gamesmanship.
Jeff Sessions eulogized the persecutors masquerading as prosecutors in the Bundy case, which was thrown out with prejudice (!) by Navarro. Sessions’ DOJ is challenging that just ruling. (But I am supposed to Trust Sessions.)
I knew right after the inauguration, when Trump did not do as Bill Clinton did in 1992 - fire everyone and start with a completely clean slate - that it would be a very bad next few years.

I think the SC law requires a 6 week before election the investigation to be done. Mueller is treading thin ice.
