I'm a Republican and support Trump's judicial strategy but the perceived legitimacy of the court is more important than one man.
When President Donald Trump nominated Judge Brett Kavanaugh to replace Anthony Kennedy on the Supreme Court, I was thrilled. The judge has a resume that makes him unquestionably qualified to sit on the highest court in the land.
Further, I have found the attacks on him made by Democrats until now to be unfounded or pure spectacle made by politicians engaging in theatrics simply because they knew there were cameras on.
The sexual assault allegations by Christine Blasey Ford are different: After reading them, I can no longer support Kavanaughs nomination and have concluded that for the good of the country, he must withdraw.

God bless you for it.
How many aborted babies will be murdered because only liberals like Sotomayor are on the Court by the condescending permission of the minority Dem party? And RINOs each session like Collins and Flake?
My sentiments exactly.
Great post.
LOL. Should have scrubbed your history like Accusey-Chick did.
Evan Sigfried: I'm Voting For Evan McMullin, Not Trump
Yes, but what does Roy think?
“The good of the country” DEMANDS that demoncrats stop this childish behavior. The way to stop it is to get Kavanaugh confirmed. That would be a good step toward getting the Dems crushed, annihilated, and wiped out so the country can get back to some serious governance.
Brett Kavanaugh should withdraw his nomination for the good of the Supreme Court and the country
Unmitigated Bullshit.
no backing down this time.
BS + BS “STILL” = BS
Is it not possible to excommunicate people from the Republican Party? There are about ten “Republicans” out there who seem to serve no other function in the world besides stuff like this.
The person who wrote that piece reminds me of my HS biology teacher. I told her that I ran over a frog with a push lawnmower, and the frog jumped up and down over the blades and didn’t get hit.
She believed me. The guy who wrote that is either a naive fool or a NeverTrumper or a closet Democrat.
NEVER!!!!
Confirm him this week as originally scheduled, without hearing from the California crazy!!!! PHOOEY!!!!
What the liberals aren’t considering is that Kavanaugh is Kennedy’s choice to succeed him. He’s considered one of the more “moderate” names on President Trump’s list.
Many of us here wanted Brrett, Thakur, or Kittredge. If he were to withdraw or get defeated, I suspect that President Trump would send the Senate one of those names. In any case, it would almost certainly be someone the left would like even less than Kavanaugh.
Legitimacy of the supreme court has been gone for quite some time.
Flipping a coin would be more legitimate. At least the coin could not make stuff up.
Kavanaugh should not do as faux accusers bid. Americans should rise up and say enough to anti Constitutionalist who are attempting toHillarieize America to their way
....I.e., power for the few and NO Constittution!
FU NBC scum.
Hell no. For the good of the country, put that chick in a padded cell.
If this person is a “republican” ... I’m Kate Smith
Absolutely NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kavanaugh a superb candidate, the Dems could not find anything bad about him, so last minute they come up with this ridiculous accusation about him, when he was in high school.
If this were true, it would have come out a long time ago.
The Dems are just desperate to try to stop a smart conservative to get on SCOTUS.

The Idea the GOP Wont Survive Donald Trump Doesnt Hold Up to History

GOP consultant Evan Siegfried cast Trump as a particularly ugly, Nixonian figure, and he predicted the politicians who stayed faithful to their nominee despite his inexcusable and intolerant actions will bear the stain of his association for the rest of their careers. But those who have remained untaintedSiegfried highlighted Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse, and Jeb Bushs half-Latino son George P. Bushcould help the party recreate the success it found in 1980, especially if reinvigorated with something like the movement conservatism ideology that animated President Ronald Reagans base.
You could make a comparison between after Watergate and now, because the party was divided and was looking for a standard bearer to pick it up with an optimistic mission, he said. Ronald Reagan was able to harness the way that Republican voters felt the party should move, and was able to articulate a vision that was able to bring us forward into the latter half of the 20th Century. We need somebody who can do that now.
Siegfried argued the party needs to siphon away the young voters who lifted Obama into office eight years back, but who have since grown disaffected from politics.
In my opinion, we need to have a millennial-focused party, said the strategist, who outlined potential tactics in his recent book GOP GPS: How to Find the Millennials and Urban Voters the Republican Party Needs to Survive. Millennials distrust both Republicans and Democrats. The only problem right now is that they distrust the Republicans more.
Seriously!
