Kriti Agrawal was chasing the American Dream. She and her husband came to California from India three years ago with their young son. They landed good jobs in the Bay Area, she as a senior manager for a pharmaceutical company, he as a product manager in a financial-technology startup.

So you have no loyalty or appreciation to the ideals that are America? You treat the United States as a cash cow where once the money stops flowing you are out of here. Screw you.
Everyone knows there arent any qualified mid level managers who are actual citizens anywhere to be found in a nation of 365,000,000 people.

Shovel-ready jobs for Americans:
Hovel-ready flights for illegals.
MAGA!
Go make India a better place to live, and leave American jobs for Americans.
Years ago they spoke of the “melting pot”. People from all over the world came to America and they “melted” into the American culture — enriching it by becoming Americans with some new flavors they can contribute to the pot.
Bu then about 20 or 30 years ago, the Progressives decided that this metaphor was somehow demeaning. Melting Pot??? How dare you!!
American then became a “salad bowl” in which new things arrive and they just stay what they are and what they have always been. The carrots and the broccoli and the lettuce might work together, but there is no shared identity. They just reside in the same bowl. But a carrot is a carrot and no one should expect that carrot to even lose it’s original identity.
The ramifications of this new metaphor were not always clear 30 years ago. But I think we see it very clearly now.
From the article:
“Indian citizens make up the bulk of H-4 holders,
because the vast majority are from India.”
Who can argue with that?
My wife is literally looking for that same job title in the same location . . . and it’s still a very tough market.
Good. Dont let the door hit you in the behind
Shouldnt have been working here in the first place

Not on an H1B visa.
That is a non-immigrant visa.
That means you have to go home.
H1-B visas are intended to be temporary, so why is anybody here on an H1-B visa surprised that they may have to return to their country of origin? It is possible to apply for permanent residence as an H1-B visitor, but it isn't guaranteed.
That said, people participating in H1-B visa programs are at least following the legal process which is a good thing.
Bye, Felecia.
Ya know what happens if you’re a white guy in China and you fall in love with and marry a Chinese lady..?
You go onto a Spouse visa and in that capacity YOU CANNOT WORK.
It’s very simple.
I don’t know why it’s an exception but apparently such guys (presumably girls also) CAN legally become a pro YouTuber:
That’s why so many foreign dudes in the PRC married to locals are YouTubers.
The USA is CRAZY permissive and by int’l standards I don’t cry even one tiny tear for the spouses in this story.
Who on EARTH has ever heard of an AMERICAN working for a pharma, right..?
Next thing ya know they’ll be telling me people from the USA are accountants, or maybe salespeople..!
SHUCKS..!
Agreed.
They want to make us take the sacrifice while they take the benefits.
You mean all the firms that are banning, shadow banning, suspending, deplatforming, and blocking conservatives?
Yeah, y'all can go choke on a big shlong.
GET THE HELL OUT. Hire AMERICANS!!
These faux "geniuses" who are supposedly essential to our tech industry can't figure our their own work permit! How friggin' stupid that be!
In the mid-70s, I worked with two women from India. They were quite honest with everyone in the Lab. They were working and sending money home so they could go back to India and be rich. I didnt work there for very long, but I suspect their American dream came true.
They should NEVER have been allowed. Send all home now!!!
