No matter who won, NYS taxpayers lost.
Good news for the nation: NYS will have even less power in the chamber with the power of the purse after the next census.
The former “Democratic” Party, now controlled by the Left (i.e., socialists/communists) is accurately described as an enemy of our Republic ... dedicated to replacing our Constitution with the Communist Manifesto. Make no mistake — this is the Democrat Socialist Party objective. This means the Democrats/Leftists must not just be defeated in November, their party must be crushed by patriotic Americans ... this is an imperative.
If Democrats keep moving left to get away from Trump, they can kiss the midterms goodbye:
American exceptionalism vs. global socialist hegemony. They cannot coexist.

Local elections are very hard to predict as there are pockets of districts that are REALLY SOCIALIST.

This is why the GOP is going to gain seats. The leftists are VERY pissed at the DNC for screwing over Bernie. Meanwhile, nobody in their right mind is going to vote for their candidate.
The left is having a tantrum, and the right and middle are going to vote for the alternative to whatever they come up with. GOP is going to pick up seats, maybe in places they’ve never won before.
In competitive seats the Democrats are running more moderate candidates in hopes of beating the Republicans.
Maybe news of the radicals will hurt the less extreme candidates in swing districts, but maybe not.
There's no doubt the Tea Party helped to get out the vote starting in 2010, but the real driver was Obama and the radical left.
They scared normal Americans so badly, they flocked to the polls out of fear and anger.
I think the same effect is in play now. Despite the fact that Republicans hold both houses of Congress and the White House, the political left still controls the levers of power in nearly every major institution. They're using the power of those institutions to threaten the very existence of our country.
Look at the never ending string of horrifying news stories posted on Free Republic every day. It's worse - much, much worse - than it was during the Obama years. The average person could be forgiven for thinking that Armageddon is imminent.
The left is scaring normal Americans more than ever, and they're going to react by voting like their lives depend on it.
Trump has exposed the democrats for exactly who they really are, and exposed many in the gop for what they are.

I don't think there's any question that will happen. The hard core leftists will continue to scare more people away from the Democrat party, as they remake it in their image.
I can see a time in the not too distant future when native born Americans of a liberal bent realize that the Democrat party does not want them, and is sworn to exterminate them.

To Sail Beyond The Sunset
Now, now ... think this through a little.
We wanted establishment Dems primaried out, right? Well, now they have been.
Socialst Dems are much worse, of course, but we Righties get a crack at them in November. The Right has been pushing for an all-out voter surge for the November midterms and they weren’t just a-kidding! Our nation is truly at risk this year.
If we can turn out the vote like we did for DJT in 2016, and if the (sane) undecideds decide they can’t tolerate a Communist takeover, I’d say we can clean house. We get to decide between Socialism and the American Way and I feel pretty confident which side will prevail.
They are like lemmings or puppets pulled by strings. It is scary to watch how they all sprout the same party line no matter how absurd.
“Bad” democrats are being replaced by “worse” democrats.
