Over inside the home of the Democracy Dies in Darkness slogan on Wednesday, The Washington Posts lead editorial argued that President Donald Trump is complicit in the destruction being caused by hurricanes, including the forecasted pain set to be inflicted in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina by Hurricane Florence.
The reasons that The Post outlined had to do with the Presidents deregulatory agenda on the environment and his refusal to further President Obamas liberal, environmentalist policy aims.
The editorial first laid out the stakes for those in Florences path and then, by paragraph three, laid blame at the feet of the President:
Yet when it comes to extreme weather, Mr. Trump is complicit. He plays down humans role in increasing the risks, and he continues to dismantle efforts to address those risks. It is hard to attribute any single weather event to climate change. But there is no reasonable doubt that humans are priming the Earths systems to produce disasters.

OMG I hope this thing fizzles out!
Then Trump says ‘I guess I fixed it”
-—Democracy Dies in Darkness——
I’ll never get over the utter pretentiousness of that phrase.
I smell another “Dewey Defeats Truman” moment coming.
Democracy dies when Democrats refuse to accept the result of a democratic election.
I ate a Big Mac and it rained. Any well-reeducated liberal will tell you it’s not just coincidence.
Did Trump downgrade the hurricane?
Then how is he complicit in if?
Sick bastards. Twisted with hate.
The Democrat/media smear campaign against Robert Bork worked because it took Republicans by surprise and left them flat-footed. It failed with Kavanaugh because Republicans expected it and were prepared for it. The same is true with Katrina vs. Florence. Bush and the GOP was unprepared for the Democrat/media narrative which blamed all the death and destruction on them. This time Trump and the GOP know it’s coming and are prepared. Which is why it will fail.
Newspaper editors know the meanings of words. They deliberately and intentionally chose the WRONG word for this. Complicit is not the right word, and they know it.
The purpose is to pre-blame Trump. They’re mad because Trump didn’t get too much $hit over the destruction of Puerto Rico by a hurricane. They want Trump whining and bowing down in abject submission, begging for forgiveness. They want to do to Trump what they did to GWB.
Not much chance of Trump whining and bowing down in abject submission, begging for forgiveness!
“..Bush and the GOP was unprepared for the Democrat/media narrative which blamed all the death and destruction on them....”
Bush was “unprepared” to do or say ANYTHING against the RATS for EIGHT YEARS. Even with both houses of Congress....important to keep that in proper perspective.
I just checked. They are really using it.
what a huge crock. even assuming that “Climate change” is real (doubtful) there is no evidence that pollution has increased during the 19 months Trump has been in office and has increased # of hurricanes. Do they blame Obama for Hurricane Sandy? The Post editors must start drinking early in the day
-—I just checked. They are really using it.-—
Of course they are. The most heroic people on Earth. Just ask them.
Tony Heller, the real climate science guy, has a blistering response to Washington Post.
He blames the hurricane of 1780, biggest ever on the East Coast, on emissions from George Washington's sport utility horse.
Living as the cockroaches they are, they would know much about (dark) anti-democratic locales.
Sounds racis’....
