Because the White House is not calling this fake news, and they usually aren't shy to do so. I'm not entirely discounting the possibility that it could be fake, but the Administration statements are treating it as if it was the real deal.

Surprised he’s giving this more legitimacy. I have no problem believing or not the op-ed. Makes no difference to me, but here we go it seems. As I’ve mentioned one only has to look at Kelly Anne and the situation with her husband as a prime example(husband) of these people who may or may not have written the op-ed.. there are computer programs that can analyze writing styles. I’m sure Trump has things that have been written by everyone on his staff. These samples should be run thru the program and compared to the NYT op-ed.
If the person is exposed, he or she will end up being the new CNN or MSNBC hero, and given a show.
My bet is that it is a bogus rant by someone working for the NYT, or other media outlet. If it is an inside, my bet is that it is Kellyann Conway, her husband is an anti-Trumper.

Why not believe it? We have sitting members of the GOP Congress who proudly tell us they did not vote for POTUS. We have sitting members of the GOP Congress who happily threaten him when talk of replacing Sessions comes up. The careerist GOP is rotten to its core and that includes many on his staff, obviously.
