It appears that researchers have finally solved the mystery of how embassy staffers in Cuba and China became suddenly ill with symptoms of brain injury. What was thought to be some kind of "sonic" weapon turns out to have been weaponized microwave radiation.
The medical team that examined 21 affected diplomats from Cuba made no mention of microwaves in its detailed report published in JAMA in March. But Douglas H. Smith, the study’s lead author and director of the Center for Brain Injury and Repair at the University of Pennsylvania, said in a recent interview that microwaves were now considered a main suspect and that the team was increasingly sure the diplomats had suffered brain injury.

“Everybody was relatively skeptical at first,” he said, “and everyone now agrees there’s something there.” Dr. Smith remarked that the diplomats and doctors jokingly refer to the trauma as the immaculate concussion.

Oh good grief. It’s NOT microwaves!
It’s a sonic data transmitter that spies use to extract data by sound waves without tripping RF sensors.
In contrast, microwaves are RF. Microwaves are easily detected with RF sensors.
If the attacks were by microwaves, our RF sensors would have detected them.
Soundwaves aren’t RF, though.
A bug inside an embassy that transmits by ultrasound WON’T trip an RF detector.
So if you want to eavesdrop on diplomats inside an embassy, you use a sonic transmitter (bug).
...of course, loud ultrasonic transmissions are hazardous to humans nearby.
Good reminder to all.
I heard an alarming radio interview about the wavelength being so narrow it fits into the brain wave one and thus could cause cancer as everyone speculates.
You know a lot more than I so I will defer to you.
It iseems obvious that either WE were testing something at our embassies that we suddenly discovered had serious unintentional side effects or China did. But it doesnt make sense that we or China would intentionally harm embassy staff. I think it was an accident. Either way, we probably wont be told.
Every employ must now be equipped w/ a bag of “Pop Secret” in each pocket and alert security if any ‘pop’ is heard.
Yes, that is more correct.
Just an aside. Back when JFK was president there was the Rocky and Bulwinkle Show. Gidney and Floyd the Moon Men had a scrooch gun. Now all we need is a disentegrater ray gun. If you scramble all of the frequencies all of the same times you will get the structure to fall apart. It is how they use transporters in Star Trek. And a lot easier cause you do not have to put it all back together again.
The headline indicates that it’s not a certainty that microwave weapons were used, but the article leaves open the possibility it may or may not be the case (although likely).
(microwaves now considered the main suspect)
Either way i have a 10 year old brain injury and I can say for certain that it is a living nightmare that never really ends.
I recovered a lot and still suffer a lot of symptoms.
Our vets are suffering terribly.
I wish this on no one and since all dems already have brain damage, there is no reason to wish it on them.
CIA
It’s an old spy tool that we have as well. It’s not microwaves, but terahertz waves that are just below the microwave band.
