In Florida, Andrew Gillum has accused his competitor Ron DeSantis of playing “a little bit of a race card.” It should be noted that DeSantis’ was merely using a figure of speech, saying the FL voters shouldn’t “monkey this up by enacting a socialist agenda with huge tax increases.”
If this is the epitome of racism, then these Democratic Party leaders have some explaining to do…

On Glenn Beck this morning, they said DeSantis used the same phrase in talking about something else. I haven’t been able to find confirmation of this but if this is true, it just shows, that is how he speaks like saying something like “watching the paint dry” or something.

My father used to say “stop monkeying around” and “don’t monkey this up” all the time. He was the least racist person I have ever known and he was also a life long committed Republican.
