RUSH: Look at this. PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, wants to build a memorial where lobsters died in Maine.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals wants to build a 5-foot tombstone where lobsters may have died after a crash on Route 1 in Brunswick, Maine, last week. According to the Brunswick Police Department several of the crustaceans that a Cozy Harbor Seafood truck was carrying got crushed as a result of the rollover. It was something Ive never seen before, said Detective William Moir of the Brunswick Police Department. Some lobsters were loose on the ground from being spilled over so we went to work to save the ones we could.'
The humanity! The cops went out there trying to save the lobsters!

The organization sent a letter to the Maine Department of Transportation asking if it could create Im not making this up the roadside memorial where the lobsters lost their lives. Countless sensitive crustaceans experienced an agonizing death when this truck rolled over and their bodies came crashing down onto the highway, PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman said. PETA hopes to pay tribute to these individuals who didnt want to die with a memorial urging people to help prevent future suffering by keeping lobsters and all other animals off their plates.
This isnt the first time PETA has gone to bat for animals killed in an accident. September 21st, 2017, Orangeburg, South Carolina, Chicken Truck Crash Will be Memorialized by PETA. Do you think the lobsters knew where they were? Do you think they knew they were in the back of a truck? Do you think they knew the truck rolled over? Did the lobsters even know that they were alive? (interruption) What do you mean, they scream when you cook them? Oh, come on!
Youre watching the Katie Couric episode. Thats where you picked that up. They scream when you (laughing) I dont mean to be laughing, ladies and gentlemen. I laughed. I lost control there for just a brief moment. They scream when you cook them. Okay. Look. I just had to get that out of the way. This is the kind of thing I might have sitting in front of me for three hours and never mention, so I just wanted to get it out of the way cause its just another sign of how depraved and insane the left is descending. Itd be one thing if there was mutual acknowledgment and agreement on what insanity is, but there isnt.
There’s a place for all God’s creatures. Plenty of room next to the potatoes.
ROFL!
We were just up there until last week, up Rte 1 a bit for a vacation, and drove through there on Monday heading to MA.
Guess we missed that bit of excitement!
Are they going to copy the stupid crab billboard they put up here in Baltimore and use it for the lobsters?
Put a hot melted butter fountain and a plastic bib dispenser next to the memorial.
Why does anybody take these whackadoodle nutbars seriously?
I’m looking forward to meeting these lobsters when we meet at the Rainbow Bridge. I will have my crab crackers, lemon and melted butter ready!
Other wackadoodle nutbars on the Left do, that’s for sure.
Every time I would drive passed that memorial I would rush to the nearest restaurant that served lobster and indulge.
I doubt that the ‘tasty-tidbits’ even knew they were on a lobster truck.
What fools these ‘PETA’s be.
I sure hope they got eaten and not wasted!!!
Keep in mind that if lobsters were as big as we were, and we were as small as lobsters are, they would be eating us. And they wouldn’t be engaging in nonsense like erecting tombstones for their food.
MELT THAT BUTTER
After the memorial will they be serving lobster? Ill get my bib
I wonder who was the first person to look at a lobster and say to himself: “I am going to eat that.”
It is a tragedy, worthy of memorializing. Think of those tasty dinners gone to waste. Oh, the humanity! I remember when a friend flew up to Maine and brought back lobsters for the neighborhood. Our lobsters were turned loose in the kitchen and our three-year old son made friends with them and had great fun. When it was time to send them to the boiling pot, we thought that he would throw himself in front of the pot to save his new friends. Not my son, he cheered when they went into the caldron. Yum, yum. He was my son, after all.
A very hungry Pilgrim.
On the Plymouth Plantation, lobsters used to be gathered at the beach, grinded up and then spread across the fields as fertilizer.
Then one year, a famine hit and somebody said "boil 'em up".
Then somebody shouted for drawn butter and culinary history was made.
Sorry.
As soon as lobsters join the Animals for the Ethical Treatment of Humans AETH, get back to me.
What’s that, they’re just lower life forms?
Exactly.
These people watch too many Disney movies.
Lobster Memorials, eh? Here’s a thought. How about those of us who care about the millions of unborn children that have been slaughtered and disposed of like animals... have a permanent public memorial on state land? After all, their deaths represent a great achievement by leftist anti life politicians, “Reproductive Rights”, “Right to Choose”, or “Pro Choice Rights”?
I can visualize such a monument, better yet memorial. I can also imagine the enormous firestorm this edifice would attract, regardless of its veracity in fact and spirit. But, no, it won’t happen, though it should.
Yes,I would agree there should be a memorial for all the young human lives that were ended & mention made of the people responsible for making it happen. A memorial such as that would have real meaning. Can’t be compared to this idiotic idea of a memorial for dead lobsters.
