Ya'll do notice that he planned his own State Funeral, right? How disgusting is that? He had to connive that which he knew he didn't deserve but why change his stripes now?
From the little (well, a lot) of reading that I've done since his demise, I figured out why he was such a jerk. He had Daddy issues. He always seemed to be concerned that he was letting his dad down. I bet if someone caught him when he was 10 and said, "Hey Johnny, wanna be a fireman when you grow up? We'll put you in boarding school so you're dad can't get to you.", old Johnny woulda jumped on it. And I know nothing of his early years, just making a guess.
I did some reading on the Forrestal and remember that he said he was afraid to face his dad after that little incident (no, he didn't start the fire. He didn't do a wet start, and even if he had, it would have sprayed over the ocean). His actions after the fire were dishonorable in my opinion, however.
I don’t see it opening at the local suburban multiplexes. Given the very short lifespan of poorly performing movies -especially coming off of a pretty mediocre summer season, this “documentary” will be gone before the “butter” on your popcorn cools down.
Might stay a bit longer in small theaters in liberal communities.
I’m having a hard time squaring the “hero dedicated to a cause greater than self” meme being pushed by his followers and in the media with the deliberately planned vindictiveness and snarky pettiness evident in the late senator’s actions and words (including the documentary) and those of his entourage.
I understand disinviting President Trump. Bad blood between them.
But Palin; WTH!! I guess that civility, tolerance, and reaching across the aisle bit is just a platitude now.
Good. Write it on a piece of paper and put it in his coffin.
I scrolled through all the articles on McCain..and there were many...and no where did I see huge crowds on the streets or bridges or highways waiting for the hearse to drive by...and did not see one photo of the huge 15 K crowds that was suppose to be standing in Arizona heat of 104 degrees. no photo's of handlers handing out cold bottles of waters to the ones waiting to get in the State capital to walk past his coffin...So there are a lot of FAIRY TALES OUT THERE and very little truth...
Never have I witness a funeral event as Royal as the one being given to a SENATOR/VETERAN...he was not POTUS ...he was not a Dignitary of a strange land...He was just a man who served during a War, and then went into politics, bought his way through 30 years with his wife's inherited money...
Sure will be glad to see this event end..but bet they make fools of themselves before it is over...wonder if McCain family is having a full course meal after the service, for all the invited guests ?
Also wondering if wife #1 got an invitation or was she locked out also..same with MOM..but at 106 I doubt she is alert enough or physically well enough to go through all this side show off..
Ceremonies were this morning/mid-day. Not huge...a couple thousand spread along the route.
(Or, is that Hillary?)
(Prediction: The empty theaters will look like the empty NFL stands.)
Agree...question is when and who decided to continue the “Weekend with Bernie” charade.
The family of course, but how many of his staffers were involved. Could be interesting to watch where those rat staffers disperse. That crew implemented all of his directives, wrote all of his sponsored bills with the help of lobbyists. A whole platoon of traitors.
Debuts in theaters today - any bets on how pathetic the sales will be?
This assertion by Whitehouse is contained in the dossier.
When he reaches out from the grave to keep trying to rub my nose in it, I too say F*** You John McCain.
McCain and other corrupt players have been so sure Mueller, Rosenstein and others will cover for what they have done to America that they go out and talk all over the media and make a documentary. They will not be able to hide what they have done. The lid is coming off and much will be exposed. This documentary will be a great historic record of who tried to destroy America and how they did it. McCain thought he pissed all over Trump and Trump voters but he ended up pissing on his own legacy in the long term.
LMAO!!!! The ultimate scarecrow!
I take it you’re trying to lay the responsibility for Cindy’s poor decisions on her owm father, assuming he abrogated his parental duties to let someone or something else raise his children.
Did Cindy even have a father to raise her? Death, divorce, or illness could have prevented that. Do you know?
Even if Cindy’s ‘Dad’ was an absentee father due to selfish reasons, you could then look to her mother and ask why she herself married a loser. Or is Cindy’s mother exempt from blame as well?
No, I think the buck stops with Cindy who, by the way, was doing her thing with John while John’s first wife was on her death bed (if what has been reported was correct).
Meghan McCain has not inherited her mother’s sense of dignity nor grace throughout these funeral services. So she certainly couldn’t hold a congressional seat! And I agree neither taking the seat won’t happen...I pray not!
I listened to Ryan speak today at the service....sickening the lies echoed about McCain...they’re putting it on thick!
SPOT ON...you nailed it in one!
Neither mother nor daughter McQueeg has the IQ nor temperament to take over McQueeg's seat; not even with his staff actually running things for them! Then add the fact that there was a backlash, when it was floated, months ago, that one or the other would get the seat and so...it is now NOT going to happen.
Will the replacement be better? I doubt it.
McCain turned out to be a real puke in the end, bitter, enslaved by politics, disgusting. Seems like a life wasted, what did he accomplish? It would have been better for him if he would have just tried to enjoy his life while he was here.
We've already had EIGHT YEARS of the Manchurian Candidate.. his name was Barack Obunga.
Agreed. I was surprised about Palin not being invited. Feminists might have started the trend in the ‘90s, with their “personal is political” push.
The man was classless to the end.
