Alarm clocks are your friend.

had to chuckle on that one. There are several folk here on the TrumpTrain who like me have profound hearing loss - they will fully understand what I will share.

When I started my hotel job several years back, I was hired as a breakfast hostess. shift 6-10./11.. Breakfast was up but I restocked, did dishes (real plates and cups and glasses) and cleaned up.

I am a morning person and usually up early. When you go to sleep at sunset because it is dark and you have no power, it is given BUT i now HAD to be up & get ready

I ordered two windup clocks from Amazon. One propertied to be so loud it would wake up and anger the neighbors. Well, maybe it did - I never got any response from them.... but IT DID NOT WAKE ME UP. Neither clock did. First morning they had been ringing for maybe 20 minutes.

Fortunately the manger saw I had abilities to run front desk and soon moved to that position and worked later hors.

great post.. great mind as we all know who follow you! The rain and the wonderful negative ions did good for you!

hope you got back to sleep and you had a decent amount of perception to ease the draught.

I don’t have water at my house for several years and do all watering by buckets and rain barrels. I have done quite a bit this year. I do plant annuals.. usually impatnts, geraniums an various mixed planted flowers in large urns. also do container veggies.. very little this year. Two tomato plants, mint and basil. But all get distressed with lack of rain and we all know we want to nurture and care for our veggie babies!

My daughter had the same problem with alarm clocks. She could never wake up & slept right through the. Finally bought her some type of “sonic boom” clock. That didn’t work either. But the “sonic boom’ alarm also came with an attached vibrating pad that you put under your pillow to shake you awake. That worked & has proved quite useful now that she has roommates in college. She is shaken awake & the roommates sleep in.

Been out for my walk this glorious Friday morn.

Stopped at neighbors home, who have not been up to the mountain much this summer due to hubby’s health, just keeping an eye on things, pulled a few weeds in flower garden and cursed the squirrels who have been digging and knocking over cute things in said garden, they are just playing and wondering why folks in big home aren’t leaving them all those peanuts.

Hubby is out weed eating, which he started yesterday, as it is supposed to rain tomorrow, swears our lot grew over the night and he gently remined me I said I would make banana nut bread this morning.

Might leave the TV off as it will be non-stop NN adoration.

Got side-tracked, my friend/walking partner neighbor who fell and broke her shoulder a couple of weeks ago called, hoping no surgery needed, goes to doc ow Wed. to find out for sure, she’s off the mountain at a friends home recuperating.

Well gotsta make the bread!! Later.....
