The man served his country honorably. He was a POW. I give him the respect he’s earned for that

This doesn’t give someone a lifetime pass and permit him not to be judged badly. Face it, he was a terrible human being, and did low down and terrible things. He was a liar, he was corrupt; and he was power-mad and self-centered.
