President Donald Trump on Friday announced that he had asked his secretary of state, Mike Pompeo, to cancel a planned trip to North Korea because there had not been enough progress in talks so far.
Exactly. Donaldus Magnus (I'm not shy about comparing him to Reagan and even saying he's a better president) is about America First and about true peace and prosperity, plain and simple. He doesn't give a crap about whether anyone will criticize or ridicule his foreign policy. This will all turn out fine. Tune out Fox and the MSM and watch what happens.

Their goal was to become an existential threat to the US.

Perhaps they believe Trump will be run out of office in the near term, and therefore no need to proceed with what Kim promised Trump.

Actually, I blame the Democrats and Deep State (one and the same) for pulling the stupid crap they pulled this week with the MSM (again, one and the same). RocketBoy probably thought Trump was in a weakened position and is seeing what advantage he can take.
This is one reason why Trump shouldn’t just bide his time, he should hit his domestic enemies so hard they can’t think straight. Release the FISA docs, start lopping off heads.
Its because of our inept government and past presidents that Russia and China have as much leverage over North Korea as they do now and that Kim Jong Un can financially function.
Why sigh? This is great news. Trump has removed NK as a bargaining chip for China just as Xi needs one the most, let the real Chinese leaders (military) put him in his place first, get him to revoke the tariffs he had no business imposing in the first place lifted (already in process) and then Trump and Pompeo can attend to Mr. Kim. Note who Trump is respectful to - this is the best leverage he’s likely to every have over China and he’s going to use it to fix a lot of the trade issues and show Xi just who’s the global economic superpower.

The Kim dynasty, at least the current Kim and his father, were puppets who were controlled by greater powers. They were essentially hostages to those powers. Trump is trying to cut the strings of the puppet masters. He’s only partially succeeded. Kim is not the problem. China still has the ability to influence events. POTUS understands this and undoubtedly has plans to deal with it. Patience.
Here’s a change. Clinton, then Bush kept looking to studiously ignore Little Kimmy’s lying and cheating. Trump calls it.
