Attorney General Jeff Sessions was scheduled to visit the prison at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba on Friday to get a firsthand look at the facility.
Sessions was to be joined on his tour by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, The Hill reported.
Sessions has defended the detention facility. He said in March there is no legal reason not to send newly captured terrorism suspects there, according to The Hill.
"Keeping this country safe from terrorists is the highest priority of the Trump administration," Ian Prior, Department of Justice spokesman said.

So I assume, that you take from this that Sessions and Rosenstein are getting ready to send all of those who have been indicted to Gitmo?
You do realize that to get an indictment you need a grand jury and then you need a conviction. These 30,00 or more sealed indictments are ludicrous.
I think we will see some real whiplash AFTER Kavanaugh is confirmed. THEN the Supreme Court will be secure.

Sessions should be prosecuting the previous administration for crimes.
If this whole thing is much larger than what we see then it makes sense for Trump/Q/Sessions/NSA to have a plan to sting the deep state.
The entire government was/is still corrupted, bringing these people to justice would be like walking them through a revolving door.
They need to clean house and get good people in place first from the local Judges to the top of the FBI/DOJ it takes time to position and set up.
In the mean time it’s good for Trump supporters to hate on Sessions as it keeps the sting going. So good on all Session haters you’re doing exactly what is proper and right...for the plan to work.

The odds that Trump is going to jail in my view is less than 1% due to the fact(s) that we have proof that the entire russian collusion story was fabricated and paid for by the DNC/HRC/FBI
The odds that Hill/Obama go to jail is greater than 50% still they may walk on a technicality but I have a lot of confidence that Trump is smart and Sessions is a white hat.
This plus we hold all three centers of power (at least until the mid-terms) logically means we’ll see indictments of deep state actors.

Logic is not being followed here, neither is the law. This entire special counsel is against the law because it never started with a claim for a crime having been committed.

Yes we have the POTUS/House/Senate and many REPUBLICANS are actively fighting against Trump. But Trump has a pardon the pun but a trump card. His #1 trump card is the Military and NSA intelligence.
You may not believe in Q but he’s been saying all along that the Military (marines) are protecting him, and this whole thing is a military operation.
Hence the lack of leaks and news about what is really going on.
