United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres on Friday condemned Israel's "violence" towards Gaza and suggested an international peacekeeping force could protect Gazans in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza.
The peacekeeping force could be made of civilian observers, an armed military, or a police force.
Guterres also proposed increasing humanitarian aid.
His suggestions come after the submission of a 14-page report requested by the General Assembly in June response to a surge of violence in Gaza.
On Friday night, Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon emphasized that "the only protection the Palestinian people need is from their own leadership."
"Instead of suggesting ways to protect the Palestinian people from Israel, the UN should instead hold the Palestinian leadership accountable for continually endangering its own people," Danon said.

Only way to protect Gaza is to protect it from the Gazans, not the Israelis.

The first "UN peacekeeper" steps into Gaza: close the land entry from Israel where the majority of the Gaza food and supplies enter and substantially all of their fuel. Keep it closed. And warn the UN that they better start digging because they will not respect any blue hat who gets in the way of retaliation for the Palestinian terrorist acts.

Just one more POS UN chief. The UN has to be run by some of the most antisemitic group of creeps in the world. Let’s see, the Gaza terrorists are attacking Israel on an almost daily basis and yet this fool UN chief wants to protect the Gazans by inserting incompetent UN peacekeepers in between both sides after which the Gazans will be able to fire rockets over the heads of the UN into Israel.
It is past time to get the UN out of the US.

At least most UN ‘peacekeepers are smart enough to ‘run away’ when one side ties to use them as a human shield.
The pally terrorists will simply fire their weapons from amongst the ‘UN Peacekeepers’ and then run as they always do when the response comes the other way - they do that with the ordinary Palestinians right now.
Get the U.S. out of the U.N. and the U.N. out of the U.S. Why should we fund such duplicity? If the U.S. isn't funding this nest of antisemitic vipers, it will collapse. And good!
