The New York Republican State Committee had a humorous response after New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo declared that America “was never that great.”
Cuomo -- a prominent Democrat and rumored 2020 presidential candidate -- made the seemingly offhand remark as part of his rebuke of President Trump's "Make America Great Again" slogan during a bill-signing event in New York.
“We’re not going to make America great again. It was never that great,” Cuomo said.
Cuomo, through a spokesperson, tried to backtrack somewhat, but the backlash to the statement has been intense.
The New York GOP on Thursday tweeted a screenshot of a one-way bus ticket from Albany to Montreal, asking followers to "chip in."

Man, oh man, Andy stepped into it bigtime. He gave away his dirty thoughts just like that (snaps fingers).
The deliciousness of it is......Andy is now running expensive non-stop TV ads on NY media,
laying the groundwork for a presidential bid, touting himself as the greatest living politician in history.
Probably kicking himself....should have saved the millions he looted as Clinton's HUD Secy for another day.

Stating the obvious but oh well:
1. The GOP is capitalizing on Cuomo’s remarks. That’s good.
2. I have all the faith in the world in Trump but the GOP, not so much. Trump can’t do this without them. Some are with him, some are not.
3. All this distraction, stall and delay is hurting Trump and the GOP needs to get way more aggressive to end it. Will they?
4. Half time is over.
Cuomo kicked his own ass. He lost the governorship in one single sentence. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving corrupt putz.
Then again, this is NY we’re talking about, with NYC filled with idiot leftists one never truly knows. They voted for Hillary even after finding out she was a multi-time criminal. Laws are more of a guide in NYC I guess; not to be taken too seriously apparently.
I think Clymer weighing in as possible speaker if they win is a nice GOP fire-lighter.
Heck, I volunteer to drop ship him from a helicopter in the Amazon rainforest with nothing but the clothes on his back and his wits to survive.
If he makes it back on his own, he can stay - maybe.
