Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry and the states Bond Commission denied $600 million to Citibank and Bank of America over the gun control stance adopted by both companies.
Citibank and Bank of America were both to be part of a road financing plan in the state, but were omitted from the financial plan after arbitrarily placing new gun controls on banking customers.

I love my state and this makes me very proud.
Sweet!

Yep. A little quid pro quo works every time!
“This is government strong arming private business. This goes against the Constitution.”
Wanna point to the clause in the constitution that says that??
This thread should be deleted.
This thread is a perfect example of what’s wrong with Free Republic.
1. Duplicate.
2. Badly excerpted.
3. Tenacious misunderstood.
4. Hijacked.
Looks to me that the banks were ‘strong arming’ their own customers about guns.
I don’t want MY tax money going into banks that are against the 2nd Amendment.
There has to be some pushback against banks making laws.
So what happens when all “private” banks” are strong armed by the mobs to deny you your right to make a living?????
An army of lawyers will have a ball with this issue.
“Tenacious misunderstood”
Now that’s eloquent. Consider it plagerised.

Winning.
Good job Landry.

Huge corporations need to be taught that the only legitimate position on politically-inspired actions is strict neutrality.
I wish the default FR search was for titles, not key words. It works much better to search for a word from the title, but you have to change the dropdown to do that.
I always search both, key word and title. I use it quite a bit just to find stuff in the news.
