Hawaii is dropping its legal fight against President Donald Trumps travel ban on citizens from several mostly Muslim countries after the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the policy.
The state attorney generals office voluntarily dismissed the case Monday.
Lt. Gov. Doug Chin sued to stop the travel ban from taking effect when he was attorney general last year.
Although we were disappointed by the United States Supreme Courts decision upholding President Trumps third travel ban, current Attorney General Russell Suzuki...

So Hawaii finally stopped wasting citizens money fighting a fully legal Presidential option to control immigration.

Dontcha just love it ! First Doug Chin gets stomped in his bid for the U.S. Congress , and now his keynote initiative has been dropped by the State . I hope that pencil necked little creep bugs out and goes back to the mainland . And the door hits him in the okole on the way out .

I do hope that once the deck clears a bit, the fed prosecutors go after the judges that’ve been playing at emperor.

Can I ask a stupid question?
Whats with them giving up the legal fight? Didn’t it end with the Supreme Court ruling?
Or is this a case in which if the liberals lose at the Supreme Court, the case didn’t really go against them? Whats up with them having to decide to give up?

that’s the president’s job. he should have announced he was ignoring the judges and explained why had the power to protect us.

as long as trump relinquishes his power to courts, states like Hawaii and California can find a way to keep the game going. California has Holder on retainer just working on the next law suit.

Idiot Chin went down in a blaze of ignominy. Tried for national liberal fame knowing the liberal media would showcase him. Went for election, then went down like a cold turd.
If Hawaii rejected him after all the grandstanding (look at me!) BS, you know he is yesterday's feces.
Liberals a are deeply saddened across the nation.

Idiot Chin... While I don't think I saw that phrase on any campaign posters, it sure seems to fit.

Like morphing said, a Supreme Court ruling is not a defeat but a notice to refile your objection to a different judge. Provides full time income to their lawyer friends and slows the President at every turn.
Truly amazing just how corrupt the bench has become.

And even though the Supreme Court agreed with the ban, Hawaii says it is unconstitutional. Can’t say much about those island lawyers.
