I,like many former NFL fans,am in a place...personally and financially...to live "the good life".I,like many, can afford to buy relatively expensive cars, take vacations in the Caribbean (and beyond),eat at relatively expensive restaurants and I can afford to take the medications that are often advertised on TV that cost $500 a month.
But,alas, your players insist on bringing politics to an entertainment venue.
“...The National Felons League?....”
Absolutely...and nobody trolls em better than Trump.
IF it weren’t for the ball, these azzholes would be on a chain gang picking up trash on the side of the highway while wearing prison orange.
These azzholes and the the whole BLM crybaby crowd need to pack it up and move to Zimbabwe as it’s a country more in tune to their beliefs and philosophies.
The solution over time would be to incorporate a policy
in their NFL rules of what is required.
NBA RULE
“players, coaches and trainers are to stand and line up in a
dignified posture along the sidelines or on the foul line”
during the playing of the national anthem.
SIMPLE.
“Hey bartender! Change the channel. The NFL sucks!
— Simply done.
NFL is now a spectator sport. Angst. Trash it publicly. Be loud.
Be measured. Sports jocks are not idols. They are stupid.
The $40,000,000 Commissioner must now make a stand, he said in reference to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.”
The President erred! It’s $50 mil AND a private jet!

“NFL players who do not stand for the national anthem should be suspended for the season without pay.”
That’s not going to happen.
I don’t think that’s necessary.
Let the fans toss them out of the stadium.
Take them up to the top of the stadium and toss them out.
I have a better solution to the issue than Trump or the NFL Commissioner or the players.
How about....
Make the standing for the flag and for the National Anthem mandatory....
NO!!!! Not this year. As time goes by.
Make it mandatory through the players’ contracts. No!!!! NOT in the current contracts In future contracts. In new contracts to new players just out of college. And new contracts to current players who are up for negotiations and need to sign new contracts.
That way, the problem will have faded away, with time, when the current players retire and the new contracts take effect. Those in new contracts will have to abide by the contractual obligations, one of which is to stand for the National Anthem and flag at the beginning of games. Any violators will have to pay the penalties outlined in their contracts which they signed.
Through “attrition”, the current problem will have faded into history, and the remaining players and future players will be under contract NOT to be offensive to the majority of Americans nor to the game.
I think I understand his tactic, but no...i think not.
Tanking their revenues is just fine with me, presuming all Conservatives who like sports aren’t hypocrites.
I have to say, this is something he shouldn’t get involved with.
And just like that the enemedia stopped talking about the Helsinki meeting and started talking about suspending NFL players for kneeling.
Pwned.
No one changes the subject like someone good at misdirection.
Football as we once knew and loved it is endangered. Fans are not buying season tickets like they once did; sports bars are showing hockey reruns rather than wall-to-wall NFL games; law-breaking players seldom make front-page news for committing anything less than murder one.
Like many other "investments" the government makes with other people's money, half-billion-dollar football stadiums--awarded to billionaire team owners as a bribe to not move somewhere else--go unused forty weeks a year. They are not an economic stimulus but a net drag on every city's population that has agreed to pay for them.
Competition in the way of professional soccer, rugby, golf, racing as well as amateur sports draw fans away from football and toward cable channels featuring those other sports.
Players not standing for the national anthem are a side-show to the more important issue: is professional football as we know it "sustainable?"
A GOOD IDEA!
Yea, suspend them from the underside of the Golden Gate Bridge.
