You are thinking of all the worse case scenarios from the officer’s responsibility point of view. it still hasn’t dawned on you, that there was no negative affect on the public.
You don’t give one hoot about who those perps kill in a cross-walk over the next few miles.
You don’t give one hoot about the family car they could impact at any moment.
This officer made a reasoned judgement to take his hands off the wheel for a few moments, while he tried to put this situation to an end.
Did his car go out of control? Did it even come close to it? Did it even swerve at all? No, no, and no!
Let’s deal with reality here.
When the officer went through intersections he did so in a safe manner. He tried to keep his negative actions to a minimum.
This is a law and order forum. If you can’t handle things like this, and think folks who defend officers are wrong, then perhaps you’re in the wrong place.
