Newt Gingrich on Monday offered rare, scalding criticism of President Trump, demanding that the president explain the comments he made during his controversial press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the conclusion of their talks in Helsinki.
"President Trump must clarify his statements in Helsinki on our intelligence system and Putin," the former House speaker wrote on Twitter. "It is the most serious mistake of his presidency and must be corrected—-immediately."
Trump received widespread scorn on Monday after he said at the media availability that he has yet to see any compelling reason why the Kremlin would have interfered in the 2016 election.
His comments follow special counsel Robert Mueller's indictment in federal court on Friday, which alleged 12 Russian military officials hacked Democratic email servers during the campaign.
Gingrich has been a vocal supporter of Trump, but he has on occasion provided constructive critiques of his performance.
Gingrich chastised Trump in April, claiming his administration had botched the release of Deputy Attorney Rod Rosenstein's memo outlining problems with fired FBI Director James Comey.

Rosenstein never mentioned that the Russians spearfished the Republicans too; spearfishing is not hacking and Rosenstein probably wants the public to think the old lie that the Russians hacked DNC emails (and passed it to Trump). The House GOP investigation had released this info in April this year, with the info that Democrats & Republicans were targeted but the Russians, so Rosenstein’s “revelations” are not news.
Wiki leaks has told us that the DNC was hacked by a “non-state actor”. The FBI never got to look at the DNC computers.

In a normal Presidency, no one working in or through the DOJ would indict 12 Russians on the eve of a Presidential meeting with the Russian head of state without getting the President’s approval. The reasons they don’t show him is because he is their target and he is isolated, it isn’t his DOJ. Rather they wait until he is overseas, and then pull this crap in an effort to undermine and manipulate Trump. Newt should have been OUTRAGED about Mueller’s timing - why could it not wait until after the trip?
If the President states that he sees no Russian interference, who can blame him - the rogue BHO swamp government working under Sessions recusal is withholding the “evidence” from him from which he can make the speech that they want him to make about Russia. And this after BHO before the election said there was no interference or something to that effect. As smart as Newt is, he sure missed this one. Now those claiming Russia interference cost HRC the election have to put up the facts. Except they won’t.

So I've just completed watching the press conference - I'm a bit underwhelmed. It seemed pretty ordinary to me.
That president Trump mentioned the key piece of evidence which supposedly proves Russian involvement is missing. Is that whats causing the outrage. . Are we supposed to forget all the shenanigans that have been exposed and believe the spooks.
I guess my big problem is I don't know what the real evidence that the Russian Government hacked our election is? Troll farms, online advertising? - specifically what did the Russians do that all these agencies point at - saying this is how we know it was vlad - Do they have this and I'm just ignoring it?

Taken all together, the deep state is laying out their plan. The reason they did this just before the meeting, was to provoke some charged statements. And their lapdog media was set to pounce on the statements. End game. Arrest Trump and charge him with treason. That’s why they appear to be living in an alternate world. They are setting up their Sting.
