Louisville Removes Papa John's Name From Football Stadium, Business School...
Deadspin ^ | 7/13/18 | David Roth

A week that began with reports that Papa John’s founder Papa “John” Schnatter somehow worked an overt hard-r racial slur into a conference call with a marketing company is ending with the removal of Schnatter’s name from virtually everything on which it had previously been emblazoned. There are only so many of these left at this point, but the University of Louisville announced on Friday that it would begin the work of prying Papa’s brand off their football stadium and, uh, The John H. Schnatter Center for Free Enterprise at the Louisville College of Business. He had already withdrawn from the school’s board of trustees on Wednesday, and had stepped down from the school’s Athletic Association back in April.

After Wednesday’s rash of slur-driven disassociations—MLB’s “Papa Slam” promotion and Schnatter’s status as his own company’s chairman of the board were...

I’m sure King Louis did not have a 21st century politically correct worldview, so by such measures, they need to change the name of Louisville.

If we go down that road, numerous places need to change their names. Start with Washington, DC, because Washington owned slaves. Ditto state of Washington.

Cities such as St. Louis, St. Paul, San Diego, San Francisco offend the ACLU atheist types, so those names have to go.

The state of Indiana has to change its name. Ditto Illinois, named for the Illini Indian tribe. Dakota Indians were in the Dakotas, I believe? Utah is named for the Ute tribe.

What about Maryland and Queen Mary? What sort of history does she have?

What about William Pitt and Pittsburgh?

Columbus, Ohio, is still named that? How can that be???

Give back every dime he contributed also. If his name isn’t good enough, neither is the money. (But we know they won’t do that). Hypocrites.

What would you do about all the stadiums named after corporations? I don’t know all the details, but, I assume that all parties benefit. The company name is advertising for them, and the teams/stadium owners rake in big bucks from those sponsorship deals.

He should seek to get his money back.

...

Ditto. His money isn’t good enough for them.

Did he tell his pizza employees to refrain from being so niggardly with the spreading of the cheese upon their product.

More libtard Drama Queen insanity.

Their response is disproportionate - they immediately max-out.

They go Full Retard over the smallest issue.

If something more serious happens there is nowhere else to go short of killing the guy who made the slip up.

Imagine how these pussified Drama Queens would deal with a truly serious threat or crisis.

Pharaoh: Let the name of Papa John be stricken from every book and tablet, stricken from all pylons and obelisks, stricken from every monument of the USA. Let the name of Papa John be unheard and unspoken, erased from the memory of men for all time.

In general I don’t like them named after businesses.

I prefer local heroes or significant events or places to be named. Gives people something to honor and something to epitomize.

Not to be an advertisement for a business or a person who only gives to get their name on something.

We are bombarded enough with advertising from all quarters.
(not ant-capitalist, just enough is enough)

How about Progressive Field named after a company that YEARLY pours tens of millions of dollars into the Planned Predator group that openly and daily slaughters thousands of babies EVERY DAY?

This has nothing to do with what he did/said.

He’s a religious conservative.

The rule is to never let a manufactured crisis go to waste when it could be used to destroy someone you hate.

Louisville is an ultra liberal blue blob in the middle of red Kentucky. They had a record year in murder cases back in 2017, the school system is a freaking joke, still busing students around town to achieve diversity. The west end of Louisville, which is primarily black, is a war zone. Yet the blacks that live there prefer to stay on Massa Demoocrat’s plantation.

UofL’s president is the perfect liberal queen as she claimed that John’s Schnatter’s comments “fractured” a community. I’m pretty sure what’s fractured Louisville is violent crime and a liberal Mayor who is in love with building bike lanes despite the city’s thug criminals running amok.

I grew up a Cardinals fan, but no more. That school has been one mired in one controversy after the other.

The coarse nature of black street culture beyond just the word nigger has permeated the entire culture in general

That and homosexuality have made it all tawdry and none dare criticize

And criticizing whites who use such terms and the self virtue obtained by doing such is the new religion

I watched Southern Charm Savannah with my wife and on the show a likable southern Jewish kid named Daniel has a fit about his friend using the word shvartzah and how offended he is as a minority himself

Then at dinner all the other cast pile on each more offended and each preening how awful this kid is for sayin shvartzah

Even the chubby white girl piles on her anguish since she’s marrying a Muslim and mommy doesn’t like it
And her poor last chance ever for her muzz hubby is always suffering from racism
All the women sound more valley girl than Dixie which is nauseating enough

I know given the demographics at Bravo and the production team that rants about anti homosexuality and anti semitism etc will be engineered especially on a reality show about southerners

But what was worse than that was how eager the cast follows the scarlet letter like accusations against someone on national tv whom they’ve known all their lives

Millennials are so brainwashed. They live to call someone racist ...

The truth that the offender learned the word from the Jewish boys grandma never gets brought up because the perp didn’t want to besmirch her

This crap is mental illness on a grand scale

Southern Charm New Orleans has a similar episode where the most likable character ..a black dad doing his best ....says fag and all hell breaks loose with similar results

Again this is Bravos doing as the social engineers they are but man .....nobody stands up to it
