What would you do about all the stadiums named after corporations? I don’t know all the details, but, I assume that all parties benefit. The company name is advertising for them, and the teams/stadium owners rake in big bucks from those sponsorship deals.

In general I don’t like them named after businesses.

I prefer local heroes or significant events or places to be named. Gives people something to honor and something to epitomize.

Not to be an advertisement for a business or a person who only gives to get their name on something.

We are bombarded enough with advertising from all quarters.
(not ant-capitalist, just enough is enough)

Not living people.

How about Progressive Field named after a company that YEARLY pours tens of millions of dollars into the Planned Predator group that openly and daily slaughters thousands of babies EVERY DAY?
