President Trump met with the queen of England today and committed several protocol gaffes that left many feeling that his behavior was an insult to Britain and lacked the respect that should be shown the monarch and if not a monarch, a 92-year-old woman.
The president was soundly condemned on social media for walking in front of Queen Elizabeth as they inspected a guard of honor of the Coldstream Guards. The queen was forced to bob and weave as she caught up to walk alongside him.
Trump did appear to notice, and in the video below youll see that as she catches up with him, she gives the tiniest gesture with her hand, signaling to him to continue walking.
Earlier, the president and first lady Melania Trump defied protocol when they greeted the queen: They did not bow or curtsy, but instead opted to simply shake hands. It is not obligatory to bow, as Americans are not her subjects, but doing so is widely considered good manners.

The Queen should bow to the President of the U.S. considering
most Brits would be German lamp shades if not for spilled
American blood in WW2.
She is not his Queen, so what does it matter....No one compained when 0bama sent the bust of Churchill back to her.
Actually what would have happened is that Eddie the Eighth would have been King again.
Cuz Tanya from Yahoo says so.
No Tanya from Yahooooo. What’s going on is two heads of state meeting on equal terms.
Well said!
Americans allow no title of nobility nor recognize same.
Who cares! The Royal family is nothing to us.
Agreed. NO American - even one who is not a head of state - should bow to any “monarch”. Period.
She just the queen who destroyed an empire. She deserves no respect except as an elderly old lady.
The President of the United States did not make missteps with the Queen.
The Queen made missteps with President Trump. >>>>>>>>>>>>>
Exactly right. The United States revolted against the monarchy in 1776. PDJT made up for all the fawning that the Obama’s did while in the Queen’s presence Royal.Plus MI-5 and MI-6 tried to take down PDJT via the Steele Report , using British spies to circumvent US law. I hope PDJT farted all the way through the tea.
President Trump was the head of state guest of a hosting head of state, and as such he should have gone first at the beginning of a military inspection in order of review. The media is full of shit, as usual.
“There was a moment of confusion over which side of Trump she should be on to greet the guards,”
I believe our President was given the ‘honor’ of inspecting the guard. As such he should have been closer to them for the review.
Trump attended military school and was aware of the protocol.
IMHO. this deserves repeating:
“Shame upon any American citizen who bows or curtsies before any monarch. Elizabeth Windsor is a head of state by accident of birth, and nothing more. Americans are free men, and the equal of all other men. Good on you, Mr. President!”
Keep trying, you bunch of yahoos! You are working hard to trash Trump and it isn’t working, you f*ckfaces! Who the hell cares if Trump follows protocol! He’s not British! He does the American thing - there is no royalty - no one is better than any other. So STFU, tanya edwards and find another line of work.
The Queen is the head of state. The US President should not bow to her period.

We. Bow. To. No. One.
Yes, like all countries, Britain has its LOW LIFE SCUM too....
Apparently some are very upset that President Donald Trump did not bow to the queen..
Is that the same queen who would today be speaking German if it wasnt for the good old USA? No reason to bow to someone whose ass we saved in the long distant past. Good, firm handshake more than appropriate .
Typical classless loser LIBs. They are malignancies on every society everywhere.
