When buying bacon if your don't buy the thick but thin cut...as you peel off the slices to fry...peel two slices at a time with the thin. It really works well. The thin is actually much too easy to burn but with the extra thickness but not as thick as the think cut...fries very evenly and perfect.

Sounds like a great idea. Are usually do end up tearing the pieces and stretching them up when they are then. And they are all misshapened by the time they get to the pan.
Did they separate so you end up with two pieces, or one thicker one?
