Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh, the front-runner to replace Justice Anthony M. Kennedy on the Supreme Court, once argued that President Bill Clinton could be impeached for lying to his staff and misleading the public, a broad definition of obstruction of justice that would be damaging if applied to President Trump in the Russia investigation.
Judge Kavanaugh’s arguments — expressed in the report of the independent counsel, Kenneth W. Starr, which he co-wrote nearly 20 years ago — have been cited in recent days by Republicans with reservations about him and have raised concerns among some people close to Mr. Trump. But Judge Kavanaugh has reconsidered some of his views since then, and there is no evidence that they have derailed his candidacy.
But Judge Kavanaugh’s role in the investigation of Mr. Clinton’s affair with a White House intern, which resulted in his impeachment in 1998, has raised a red flag among some people close to Mr. Trump. At a minimum, his views about when to impeach a president are sure to come up during a Senate confirmation hearing and would allow Democrats to shine a spotlight on Mr. Trump’s handling of the Russia investigation.

There were strangely no photos of the crime scene. I seriously doubt there is any case in history where a dead body is discovered after World War II without photographs of the crime scene. Recent discovery of further suppressed documents show there was a second wound on Foster’s neck. Then there are questions that the FBI altered the statement of also Lisa Foster claiming she recognized the gun as that belonged to Vince, yet no record of him buying the gun. Then there were reports that Hillary’s aids ransacked Foster’s office telling the FBI to stand down. Within hours of the death of Vince Foster in July 1993, chief White House counsel Bernard Nussbaum removed documents, some of them concerning the Whitewater Development Corporation under investigation that Foster was to testify about. These critical documents were removed from Foster’s office and Nussbaum admits he then gave them to Maggie Williams, Chief of Staff to the First Lady Hillary. According to the New York Times, Williams placed the documents in a safe in the White House for five days before turning them over to Hillary’s personal lawyer. Hillary was even subpoenaed over that one.
Some tried to spin a conspiracy that Foster was killed merely because he had an affair with Hillary. That is highly questionable and part of the cover-up sex motive rather than corruption. I suppose its better to pretend Hillary murders her lovers than kills people who are about to testify against her. Hillary’s fingerprints were all over this mess, not Bill’s. Assistant Attorney General Webster Hubbell said on July 20th, 1993 as cited by Esquire Magazine in November 1993: “Don’t believe a word you hear. It was not suicide. It couldn’t have been.”

Only thing, Clinton was guilty of lying to a grand jury. Trump/Russia collusion is nothing but a lie. (have we all forgotten that Hillary and the DNC paid for the Russian "intel"?)

You can dang well bet there is a reason this smear job on Kavanaugh came from the DNC news outlet, the NYTimes. Deep state is the new code word used to smear republicans as equivalent to the Rats.

I think Kavanaugh is a Bush family trojan horse.
Literally every GOP entity I distrust, and that has failed badly in determining who will be an “originalist,” is pushing these two.
I hope Trump has the wisdom to pick Barret or Lee. We can't lose the court for another generation just because the GOP still doesn't have the stomach to overturn Roe.

He was right. There are broad grounds for impeachment. Impeachment is entirely political. It is completely up to the Congress to decide whether impeachment is justified, and no criminal charge is necessary.
