President Trump has completed the interview process for Supreme Court candidates after speaking with six judges, a source with knowledge of the selection process told Fox News with three finalists in particular leading the field.
The president and his vetting team have moved quickly ahead of an expected announcement on Monday.
While liberal advocacy groups and others are gearing up for a major confirmation fight, Trump is charging ahead with an imminent decision to fill the seat of retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy, and potentially move the court more solidly to the right.
Fox News is told that Trump has interviewed six candidates: Appeals court judges Brett Kavanaugh, Raymond Kethledge, Amy Coney Barrett, Amul Thapar, Joan Larsen and Thomas Hardiman. The interviews comprised seven conversations Trump talked to one candidate twice.
Multiple sources indicated Kavanaugh, Kethledge and Barrett are currently the focus of attention.

Doesnt sound like it. Just because people have enough money to hire nannies doesnt mean they should have tons of kids. Im sure the kids are rich in one way, poor in another
Social workers too.
From the article linked above: “.....Kavanaugh may have a record of judicial opinions demonstrating fidelity to the rule of law, the relevant facts, and the United States Constitution. But THAT IS ONLY HIS JUDICIAL OPINIONS. Any such record cannot excuse his work on the investigation into the death of Vincent Foster......”
Amen. His probationary period isnt over yet! :-D
Oooh...SNAP!
I dont think Sessions expected to be asked to give up his Senate seat to take a real job.
The answer: Barrett, a federal judge, has seven children with her husband. Two of the couples children were born in Haiti, and the Barretts also have a special needs child. When she testified in fall 2017 during her confirmation hearing to the federal bench, Barretts children ranged in age from 5 to 16.**********************************************************
This woman is WAAAAAYYYYYY over committed in her life with these young children to take on the 80 hours per week and heavy, heavy, weighty decisions effecting millions of human beings as a Supreme Court Justice... .PERIOD.
I hope Trump scratches her off the 25 list much less the final 3.
Ouch. Let-’em-all-in Kethledge? I hope not.
Cruz wife worked for the Bushes & many others and I don’t trust him one bit. Cruz was and is thick with Bushes as well. That alone is enough for me not trust him. Bush, Clintons, Obama are thick as theives. Go check him past with them folks. If he is so conservative why is he having trouble in Texas? Cruz is not what all of the conservatives thinks he is. I would not trust him out of site ever! Anyone who can read folks can see it all over him, he can’t be trusted!
A partial list of bills that Ted Cruz authored (not just co-sponsored), in just the last 11 months...
A bill to tackle Chinese espionage at US universities
A bill to stop the EPA from listing and protecting non-native species
Capital Gains Inflation Relief Act
A bill make permanent the Trump tax cuts
A bill to limit the amount of VA employees time that can be used on union business
A bill to increase oversight of Iran's access to Finance
A bill to increase school choice
The Health Care Choice Act of 2017
Natural Gas Export Expansion Act
2 bills promoting Chinese human rights activists (one for a street in DC to be named for Liu Xiaobo (deceased), one for the release of Liu Xia, female currently imprisoned in China)
And some in FR continue to pour hate on him daily. Pathetic. If THIS isn't an ally, then you have no allies, and you're a freaking idiot. Who in Congress has done more for Constitutionally Limited Government in the last 6 years? NAME THEM.
Lower taxes, lower regulation, turning back the hyper-Liberalism in numerous Agencies, opposing China's government, expanding energy, expanding school and healthcare choice, limiting unions, cornering Iran... which of these are we opposing again? How much help is Trump getting from the rest of the Republicans in Congress (and the RNC)?
