Ann Coulter unloaded on Judge Raymond Kethledge, one of the judges President Donald Trump interviewed to potentially replace Justice Anthony Kennedy on the Supreme Court, on Twitter Wednesday. Hardiman & Kethledge are open borders zealots, the New York Times best-selling author and populist conservative columnist said in the most explosive of her tweets:
Hardiman & Kethledge are open borders zealots. Kavanaugh rejected an employer's demand for "guest workers," saying "mere economic expediency does not authorize an employer to displace American workers for foreign workers.

I think Coulter is right, what do you all think? I kept looking around for judges and every time I found one to get really excited about I found out that they were in the 70's. I think experience is important in this job but POTUS wants someone young enough to stick around for a while and have an impact. Also the younger ones are easier to get through because that is where we are...
In Khalil v. Holder, Kethledge upheld a finding that the petitioner was not entitled to asylum because he was not a credible witness. Kethledge pointed out multiple inconsistencies in the petitioner's story that undermined his asylum claim.
In Japarkulova v. Holder, Kethledge recognizedover a dissent from a liberal judgethat courts must defer to the executive branch's determination that an immigrant is not eligible for asylum. Even though the petitioner had a compelling life story, Kethledge upheld the law.
In Mora v. Holder, the petitioner entered the US legally at age 14 but then overstayed his visa. Kethledge noted that if the petitioner had been a citizen, we would call him a model one. But Judge Kethledge recognized that the courts lacked authority to grant him relief.
In his more than 10 years on the bench, Judge Kethledge has encountered hundreds of immigration cases. He shows no favoritism to immigrants--or to the government, for that matter--and instead focuses only on applying the laws passed by Congress as they are written. Kethledge paid his own way through law school after working as a waiter and (new) car salesman. He delivered pizzas for Dominos and did landscaping during college. And hes spent the last 3+ decades in Michigan. He would bring some much needed perspective from middle America.

Her opinion is irrelevant. Just Ann pimping.
In SHASHIKANT PATEL v. UNITED STATES CITIZENSHIP AND
IMMIGRATION SERVICES he made an open borders argument that even a Clinton judge couldn’t stomach.
Is Tom Tancredo still around? He should be heard.
Mr. Tancredo used to be quite the stalwart on the illegal invasion until Porky Pig pulled the rug out from under him. His input on this issue would be invaluable I would think (not to take anything away from Ann).
Frankly, Mr. Tancredo should have been President Trump’s first pick to advise him on all things border related.
Ann likes to throw grenades. It fires folks up and they buy her stuff which keeps her with money in her pockets. All she really cares about anyway.
She does do that way too much and it is hard to take her seriously as a result.
It's Democrat...
Democrat sources.
I have found if Coulter is pushing for something or someone there’s good reason to avoid it/them.
She’s unreliable, unprincipled and often shrill.
Kavanaugh may be fine, but a lot of the people pushing for him are part of the D.C. entrenched state. Karl Rove wants him. Rove is too dense to realize his endorsement does Kavanaugh more harm than good.
My choice is Kethledge, followed by Thapur and Barnett. And no, Kethledge isn’t, as Coulter claims, an open border zealot. She needs to read his opinions, she’s smart enough but seems to prefer muddying the waters.
indeed.
and to Tanc he ought to add Rep. Steve King to his border brain trust as well.
and, while i’m at it, in terms of a SC nominee, especially if he’s determined to nominate a woman, he couldn’t do better than Michele Bachmann. by far the finest woman nominee available.
Concur.
I hope Michelle Bachman runs again she deserves to be in congress.
Get rid of the age requirement. 10-15 years on the court is plenty and it would be much easier to find judges with a solid RECORD on many more issues. The. Mark Levin is in play (he won’t turn). I hope Trump at least consults him. I think he’d more than likely be on the right side in saying who to look at
No you didn’t “blow my ass out of the water” because I had asked you about the Patel case which was the overstayed visa case with no grand theft auto involved.

You really are getting into the Coulter spirit of things with the bomb throwing, I must say!
They all seem shady to me (exception is Thapur because no one is talking much about him). I say get rid of the idea that the person has to be there for 40 years...get a true traditional originalist and be done with it. 10-15 years on the court can do wonders and will decide many of the so called hot button issues. No chances. Keep winning elections and you can get another one in 2 or 3 elections
I agree. It is hard to judge temperament when they just don’t have the experience to sit on the highest court in the land.
