President Trump on Tuesday night promised a home run pick for his Supreme Court nominee after continuing interviews with potential candidates earlier in the day.
Ive spent the last three days interviewing and thinking about Supreme Court justices. Such an important decision, and were going to give you a great one, Trump told the crowd at a Salute to Service event in West Virginia.
These are very talented people, brilliant people, and I think youre going to really love it, he continued. Like Justice Gorsuch. We hit a home run there, and were going to hit a home run here.
Trump met Tuesday with three more potential Supreme Court nominees, the White House said. The president met Monday with four candidates.
The White House confirmed that Trump spoke with Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) about the Supreme Court, but has declined to identify any others. Lee is not believed to be on Trump's shortlist for the position.
On Tuesday night, Trump spoke for roughly 30 minutes at The Greenbrier resort in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va. The Salute to Service charity event was held in conjunction with a PGA Tour event.
Trump, who has spent a number of weekends at his golf courses while serving as president, noted a number of high profile golfers in attendance during his remarks. He made frequent references to the golfers in his remarks about strengthening the military and the importance of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
While Trump's remarks focused mostly on the value of military service and veterans, the president spent a few minutes praising ICE for its work in combating illegal immigration.
We need tough laws. We need fair laws. But when these people come into our country and come in illegally and then theyre dispersed throughout the country and all of a sudden you see nests of MS-13, Trump said.
He then compared ICEs work to that of a number of professional golfers in attendance.
You know, its like youre liberating towns. We send ICE in, and for ICE its just another day like Phil (Mickelson), and John (Daly), and Keegan (Bradley), all of the guys, and Bubba (Watson), like the way they play golf, Trump said.
These guys go in and take them out of there so fast, theyre not afraid of anything, he added.
Trump has in recent days seized on calls from some Democrats to abolish ICE. The president has said he believes the stance will ultimately hurt Democrats in the November midterm elections.
“Lee is not believed to be on Trump’s shortlist for the position.”
Thank God.
I’m hoping for Barrett but it will probably be one of the men.
Hardiman or Kethledge, I’m guessing.
Kethledge or Thapal
A woman would smoke out the leftists “feminists” to show they are lying daily about empowering women. Conservative women are hated by them as much as white men.
U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Amy Coney Barrett.
I disagree, i think Mike Lee would do a great job on the court and likely be confirmed with votes to spare.
Trump will play with the crazies before announcing ,LOL
Lee is not believed to be on Trumps shortlist for the position.
Thank God.
AMEN!!!!
I want to see a Grand Slam Homerun...That means liberals wailing, gnashing of teeth, pulling hair out, crying out in self pity...I want to see them moving to Canada or Venezuala...
If I can’t trust Lee’s behavior as a Senator, why on God’s green Earth would I trust him as a SC Justice??
“Kethledge or Thapal”
I’m with you.
Ditto.
I think it will be Thapal. If the resume and conservative credentials are there, he becomes a diversity pick which will make liberal heads explode.
Thapal
><
Yes!
I think it will be Thapal. If the resume and conservative credentials are there, he becomes a diversity pick which will make liberal heads explode.

BINGO!! Well put. He’d be an outstanding choice.
No thanks.
