So much for the liberals’ lie that they’re only advocating “sensible” gun-safety regulation . . .
Appearing on Al Sharpton’s MSNBC show this morning, Ben Jealous, the former President of the NAACP and now Maryland Dem gubernatorial candidate, seems to suggest banning shotguns. Commenting on the deadly shooting at the Capital Gazette in Maryland, Jealous said:
“We will, in the next [Maryland state] legislative session, have to have a real conversation about how we finish the job here of our assault weapons ban. But we have to go much further. Journalists were killed with a shotgun.”

The Gazette should have filed a criminal complaint when the shooter continued to post death threats.
Seems clear to me that the folks at the Gazette would not have armed themselves, even if allowed.

I think Uncle Joe was advocating the use of a double barrel. This Maryland shooter used a pump. Don’t know the make, model, guage, etc. However, I do know that the pump is the most popular shotgun in circulation, millions of them out there. Actually, I expected The Left to go after buckshot instead of the gun itself. But, missed that one.

Don’t kid yourself. Seriously, no-one on the side of freedom and liberty should have any delusions about the ultimate goal of “gun control” advocates. What they really want, what they’ve always wanted, is a completely disarmed populace of subjects. Only then can they impose the kinds of tyranny and control they really want. As long as we are armed and would make them pay too high a blood price for their dreams, they are thwarted.

I carried a shotgun for awhile as an infantryman in Viet Nam.
I don’t remember now why. It was okay for close in Jungle but not very effective crossing rice paddies or open fields and it was difficult to keep clean and keep from rusting. But that was just my experience I am sure others had different experiences.

Weapons don’t have “killer instincts”...KILLERs have “killer instincts”.
How about cars, medical malpractice, heart attacks, etc. Are we going to “ban” anything that can kill as each instance occurs? How, about “old age”...it’s the only thing I wish they WOULD ban.
