Too bad we seem to need NEW laws instead of EXISTING laws to accomplish this. How about a simple one?

1. Anyone that enters or has entered the US at other than an authorized entry point, shall be immediately returned to the country of origin where they crossed from.
2. Repeated unauthorized reentry shall result in prosecution, up to five years imprisonment, and deportation with permanent lifetime ban on reentry for any reason.

When somebody comes into your country, wherever they enter is called a “port.” If a country wants to “deport” them the country must follow the law. A country can’t, for example, just escort somebody back out of their “port.” They have a treaty with their neighbors controlling when and where and under what circumstances they “deport.” It is unlikely Mexico will agree to accept the deportees as Mexico has free pamphlets they publish and distribute on how to make it across the border, what to take and what to say if you’re caught. (On the other hand, I’m sure Trump can find the right lever to pull to make Mexico our partner. Right now, it’s to Mexico’s advantage to export their crime and unemployed and unemployable citizens to a place where they can send back millions of dollars to the Mexican economy. That lever will be interesting to see once Trump finds it.)
