Good. I looked for a republican, but could not find one mentioned. I am glad that you knew what was up.

I lived in VA for 32 years before moving to SC in 2015. I was a member of the VA Tea Party and a grassroots immigration group that lobbied on the Hill and in Richmond. There were many Tea Party people on Brat's campaign team. I exchanged emails with Brat on the immigration issue and funded robocalls to 60,000 targeted Rep voters in Cantor's District. The Robocall attacked Cantor for his stance on immigration and specifically, his GOP version of the Dream Act.
The Tea Party and groups like Middle Resolution helped take Cantor down. I am proud of the small part I played. Dave Brat was first GOP candidate in VA to use the immigration issue correctly.

People are missing what really happened to Crowley. Look at the demographics of the NY District 14 Very interesting. Thanks for posting that demographic breakdown of NY District 14. Pretty much what I suspected... the Hispanics *far* outnumber the whites. I'm thrilled to see the 'RAT party lurch even further to the left.
Good riddance, Joe Crowley! ;-)

What part of beautiful SC do you live in? My husband and I have been looking in Bluffton/Beaufort (and Charleston area to some degree), but I think we'll probably end up either near the Georgia or NE Florida coast.
Yeah, I'll be adding my name to NautiNurse's Hurricane ping list. ;-)

No mention of the demographic makeup of the district and its impact. White Dem liberals will be replaced in majority minority districts. It is inevitable. By 2019 half of the children 18 and under will be minorities as classified by the USG. Every year each cohort that turns 18 will be more minority and more Dem. By 2043 non-Hispanic whites will be 50% of the population, down from 63% today and 89% in 1970.

Crowley was supposed to be speaker of the house after the “blue wave.” Nope!

I was aware of this race, progtards were targeting him for some reason (he’s a “corporate democrat” they say). I was expecting Crowley to win with ease however.
It’s good I say, let any democrat who’s less than 100% anti-business be unable to win a primary.
Better news, Mike Grimms comeback bid fell way short so we probably don’t have to worry about NY-11.
Too bad that dude that almost beat Louise Slaughter in 2014 isn’t running for her (RIP) open seat.
Turnout in NY appears to be to very shiitey BTW. I wonder if having the state primary needlessly separate from the federal has something to do with it.

My thoughts too...same voters who opted for the “open socialist” are probably numerous enough to seat her.
