Americans have been played again by open-border advocates
The Hill ^ | June 22, 2018 | BRIAN LONERGAN

Americans care about children. We get upset when we hear stories or see images of children in distress. The problem is, some in positions of power exploit that concern to achieve their political agendas. They use words and show images that don’t reflect the truth.

This is happening on our southern border with reckless abandon. The Trump administration’s immigration priorities are toppling the dysfunctional status quo in Washington, and the open borders lobby is fighting back by using a playbook that has served it well for many years. They just used it again with the children on the border crisis story with great success.

The playbook goes something like this: Identify an issue, in this case, the immigration laws whereby children of illegal aliens were housed separately while their parents’ cases are being adjudicated. Then spread wild misrepresentations, sensationalism and flat-out lies about the targeted policy. Next, deploy fellow travelers in the media, entertainment and the pundit class to pile on manufactured outrage at the enforcers of such a purportedly sinister policy. After several days of scathing media coverage declaring the entire nation aghast at the policy, the president calms his panic-stricken congressional allies and seeks to appease the angry mob.

It’s played like a street hustler’s card game, and the American people are starting to realize that they are the sucker in the game.

People are getting wise to the kind of manipulation that took place with the children at the border.

They see the absurd exploitation in the news, such as the publishing of photos suggesting that Trump policies put migrant children at the border in cages, until it was revealed that the photos were from the Obama era or not from the border at all.

Lots more at the link.

Hopefully, sooner or later, the LSM will learn the measures being applied at the border are LAWS and not just policies. Most of the laws involved were passed by Congress and signed by nobama.

As President Trump and the angel families said-their separations are permanent, and they didn’t bring them on themselves by breaking the laws.

Liberals just want unescorted children coming across the border so that they can either molest them or use them in Child Sacrifices.

Trump put it right to them. Signed the EO reuníting families took away the lib cause they’re still trying to run with
THEN calls republicans scrambling to hurry and pass legislation which (other than amnesty ) is VERY hard to get consensus COWARDS and to just GO HOME
THEN
the next day press conference with angel moms
Lib media. Doesn’t know what to do now
They were going to run with “they’re. Ripping babies away “
But then they don’t DARE cover him with the victims

I am sure we all agree that no kid should be abused, neglected, nor taken advantage of. What bothers me most is that the discussion is to let them free in the US as quickly as possible, no where do I hear a discussion about how quickly can we send them home, back to their home country, or back to Mexico which is already given them status as gas. The discussion needs to be turned around to how quickly can we repatriate we used illegal kids and adults. Make clear, that hundred and no circumstances, will they ever be allowed to stay in the US.

Today’s issue of the New York Times has a story on page 1 titled “Fleeing Peril, Parents Accept Risks at Border”.

“When you’ve got a gun to your head, people threatening to rape your daughter, extort your business, force your son to work for the cartels. What would you do?”

Perhaps US troops need to secure their home countries.

Trump should ask for permission.

Perhaps Congress needs to draft all refugees, male and female, of draft age, 18-50, into military service, a force of liberation.

Anyone who has spent even the slightest amount of time involved in the foster care system (group homes, orphanages, etc) looks upon these ‘shocking’ videos of kids enjoying modern entertainment devices, schooling, health care, etc and wonders how hard it would be to get some American citizens declared illegals to enjoy the far superior accommodations.

And not so shockingly, liberals really do want to keep the conversation away from how Americans are treated. Children ripped from parents seems so dramatic in the context of an illegal who is informed if they attempt to claim asylum status, their kid will be put into care until their case is adjudicated, or they could be deported as a unit and present their asylum case to a lawful port of entry without any risk of having the family separated.

Whereas when police find meth in Mommy & Daddy's car and both claim it's not theirs, if a family member isn't immediately available to claim the children, they're taken into CPS custody. Or the many myriad of methods adults find to get themselves arrested and their children under the care of the state.

Thus sets up possibly years of a shadow state for the children who are shuffled from facility to facility, less likely to end up with a permanent foster family because parental rights are still possible to be restored, but so many drug abusers fail to get their parenting classes done or other requirements (such as testing clean.)

These are the real prisons for children and in vastly larger numbers than the few exemplars amongst those who choose not to use a port of entry for their asylum claim. At least the children of illegals know that they're not going back home; the children swept into the arms of CPS know they have a room or part of a bed somewhere which is home, that they have a school they used to attend, that their friends might one day be seen again.

And are kept in facilities that almost match the fictional horrors that liberals are trying to claim illegals are subjected to.

I'm reminded of the stupidity of making brand new ‘shelters’ for homeless while elderly citizens are relegated to living in illegal rental garages. Build new senior housing and shuffle the homeless into the less than ideal housing situations elderly people live in already. After all, it is much more likely that the elderly have been productive citizens and paid taxes and should reap the benefits first from the spending of tax dollars and a new structure is far more likely to be compatible with disabilities and physical challenges that come with age, as well as being far healthier living situations.

Perhaps if conservative lawmakers could get elderly and children in CPS custody declared illegals, liberals might once again care about such people. All I know is that it is not missed by the general population that liberals are slapping the faces of citizens who do need the attention and help to continue this farce with those who have come to force their way into our country.

“Undocumented immigrants are at least 142% more likely to be convicted of a crime than other Arizonans. They also tend to commit more serious crimes and serve 10.5% longer sentences, more likely to be classified as dangerous, and 45% more likely to be gang members than U.S. citizens”

From the summary of the report, titled “Undocumented Immigrants, U.S. Citizens, and Convicted Criminals in Arizona”

The images, MSM stories and wailing children didn’t invoke a feeling of warmth and sympathy from me.

It pissed me off.

I’m tired of the median false narrative, and I’m tired of illegal usurpers using children to break the law.

Guess I’m a cold hearted woman.

oh helltotheno! We got involved in these sh..hole countries once. They are STILL using our humanitarian and military assistance as the #1 excuse their countries are fubared and it's still the #1 excuse the US 'owes' them the 'right' to immigrate.

I believe the president has many pots over the fire, and has relied upon many well qualified people to put together outlines and directional goals for the various agencies and cabinet positions within his administration, and he's well aware of the awful situations kids in CPS custody endure - especially through his extensive volunteering and support he's given such programs over the years.

But we've a media that goes from crisis to crisis with tunnel vision; if he tried to get that message out, it'd be translated to Trump wanting kids in CPS’ care and control to be placed in army prison camps.

I share what I can hoping that people will take the fight to the liberals in their day to day lives, to focus them on what are real concerns. I didn't even get into NGOs telling illegals to do exactly what they're doing (bypassing legal points of entry and declaring asylum, especially if they have small children) to create this disaster in the first place. You can find images of the flyers and booklets they're handing out to ‘immigrants’ who are heading for the United States.
