In Pennsylvania there are only four choices for Coroners or Medical Examiners for cause of death:

1) Homicide

2) Suicide

3) Accidental

4) Natural

Well it wasn’t suicide or accident. What else would one call or besides a homicide. Now it there is criminal liability, that’s another matter

Some dictionaries restrict it to “unlawful” killing, whereas others define it as any killing of one person by another — whether or not criminal.

In other words, the “authorities” don’t agree.

Still, I agree with the other posters who say the headline wrongly tries to accuse the officer of murder.
