President Donald Trump has expressed his support for Republican immigration legislation, but he signaled his frustration with the process on Friday on Twitter. “Republicans should stop wasting their time on Immigration until after we elect more Senators and Congressmen/women in November,” he wrote after Republican leadership delayed a compromise vote for a second time on Thursday night.

The whole problem could be solved by simply building the wall.
That is correct but the Congress has a different goal in mind.

The whole problem could be solved by stopping all the incentives for them to come here in the first place. The wall is a foolish thing. It is more of a symbol and a silly one. What we need is a high tech border fence like the Germans have build for the Saudis. Much more effective. Can’t be tunneled without hearing, can’t be crossed without sensing someone in the no-man’s-land kill zone.
What we need to do is enforce the laws that we have. We also need the President to address the nation to explain the civics rules about border control and citizenship to the fools.
Americans are witnessing the Democrats’ obstruction in immigration reform. We see President Trump ready, willing and fair, to accomplish it. Many voters will turnout to elect more Republicans, I suspect.
Trump states the obvious.
Ryan aborts yet ANOTHER vote this past week due to lack of support.
Ryan has passed as Speaker many symbolic bills that he knew would never be law.
Remember his 2011 and 2012 fake Balanced Budget (10 year) resolutions?
All fake....never meant to be law...they weren’t even budgets...they were nothing but fake shows.
I agree. The wall is the key. By wall I mean about 800 miles of concrete and steel, and add to that high tech drones, flir, listening devices, etc., over the ENTIRE border, quick access routes (roads) along entire border, and all the new agents and techies necessary to run and patrol all the above
The REAL problem is that congress has NO interest in solving any problems.
Its all about them garnering more power for themselves over us. Plain and simple.
It's pathetic to see Congress devote so much time and energy on a stupid "immigration reform" issue for the benefit of a few million DACA immigrants ... while the same Congress hasn't made any progress on other issues that are far more important priorities for 300+ million Americans.

The wall is a PIECE of the solution, but it is only as good as the front door is. If we keep letting people in without limits, the wall doesn’t buy us much.
We also need Trump’s other demands - ending the visa lottery, limiting chain migration, and some other stuff.

I am flexible. How about a concrete wall on the border with a German high tech fence 100 feet inside the border?

Minor correction. They’ve already raped we-the-people in order to make themselves wealthy and powerful. This is simply to make themselves MORE wealthy and powerful.
I agree that other things are important, but the wall is the key.
I would trade the wall for some things.
In my opinion, the next most important item is e-verify. I consider it the “inland wall”. If the incentive to sneak into America is removed, then we have shut down the ILLEGAL problem.
Chain and lottery and asylum are part of the LEGAL problem. Like it or not, those folks come to the US under color of law. The law needs to change.
DACA is a different issue, and no daca deal should be enacted until the other steps are complete.
But, if I had to pick one item on the list only, I would pick the Wall. It will last beyond this generation.
Legislation favorable to US (US citizens) will have to wait until we remove the Bush League Republicans from office.
Most of the GOP Senators and Congressman are Cheap Labor Express stooges who side with illegal aliens and their employers.
