Charles Krauthammer, a longtime Fox News contributor, Pulitzer Prize winner, Harvard-trained psychiatrist and best-selling author who came to be known as the dean of conservative commentators, has died. He was 68.
His death had been expected after he wrote a heartbreaking letter to colleagues, friends and viewers on June 8 that said in part I have been uncharacteristically silent these past ten months. I had thought that silence would soon be coming to an end, but Im afraid I must tell you now that fate has decided on a different course for me
Recent tests have revealed that the cancer has returned. There was no sign of it as recently as a month ago, which means it is aggressive and spreading rapidly. My doctors tell me their best estimate is that I have only a few weeks left to live. This is the final verdict. My fight is over.

This feels more like the Tony Snow or Lee Atwater passing for me.
“... known as the dean of conservative commentators”
Hardly. He was a democRAT for most of his life. It wasn’t until he realized just how far left the rat party had become that he started to speak out against them.
He was just like Robert Novak (The Prince of Darkness). A conservative democrat.
May he rest in peace and may God comfort his family and friends.
Had a good friend that worked with him for the last 5 years. I’ll miss Dr. K. Guess I won’t be getting a Christmas card from him this year. Always looked forward to it.
RIP.
God rest his soul.
He left with class and grace and courage, with his final letter to the public.
RIP.
He always believed there was a God, it was religion that he had doubts about.........And I can't blame him.
I disagreed with him a great many times. The dignity of his death should leave us all in awe. RIP and many good wishes.
RIP/Memory be eternal.
Exactly. He basically said out of all of the ridiculous religions, atheism was the most ridiculous one of all.
Rest in peace Charles.
A very wise man. Said his goodbye in his last letter.
Yes he did and it's worth repeating.
But was he Christian?
Everything I’ve read about him states - no.
sad ping

I Can Only Imagine. Godspeed, Dr. K
Rest In Peace, Charles, may the Lord welcome you into his loving arms.
Sadly he was not a Christian to my knowledge. But a good man ;(
