Former President Obama’s intelligence chief on Monday said he hoped special counsel Robert Mueller would wrap up his Russia investigation soon and tell the country whether there was any collusion between Moscow and President Trump’s campaign.
“I think the overarching point here is that this whole issue has to come to a resolution,” Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said in an interview with Hill.TV’s new morning show, "Rising."
“At some point special counsel Mueller and his team I hope will wrap up the investigation and clear the air one way or the other whether or not there was collusion with the Russians,” he added. “This is a cloud that is hanging over the country and certainly hanging over this presidency. And I do hope that happens, and soon.”
Clapper also addressed last week’s Justice Department inspector general report, saying anti-Trump text messages between FBI agents were “not good, particularly using a government issued device,”
But he said he has not seen evidence yet that those opinions affected the outcome of the Clinton email or Trump-Russia probes. "But the actual impact on the investigation, I don’t see much of that,” he said.
With new reports that government officials have been using private email accounts, Clapper said his practice when he was director of national intelligence was to let his private email “go dormant” and to forward any government business accidentally sent to it to his official account.
And Clapper said the weekend reports that Trump's friend Roger Stone had a contact with a Russian figure during the election was just more evidence of “these frequent meetings between members of the Trump camp and the Russians.”

Exactly. Even the half-@ssed IG report released last week leaves some very obvious questions that need to be answered. Even this one line about Trump winning the election is all you need to read:

I remember watching that POS when he was being interviewed at one point or the other and wondering how in the hell he got that position. NEVER impressed. But of course I DO NOT know where the bodies are or who put them there. Nor do I have videos. ;-)

I’m hearing rumors that Mueller will be going after Trump Jr - unpaid parking tickets from college! This is what happens when you appoint a special counsel, though, with no specific evidence of a crime linked to their mandate.

I am waiting to see Schiff’-For-Brain’s eyes pop right out, and for his head explode when it is finally revealed that the Russia-Russia-Russia scandal is ground to a halt and evaporates into the ether.
In other words, he used his family connections to build his political career, and probably knows as much about national security as I do about molecular biology. He's the Clapper family's version of Chelsea Clinton.
It is not Russia fatigue, it is self preservation. Clapper knows that the longer Mueller’s investigation goes on in the public square, the longer the Coup conspiracy against Trump is going to be investigated. Shutting down Mueller means thay can say “Move On” before their conspiracy gets blown wide open.
They are wtong. People like Sara Carter are not going to rest until the entire conspiracy is proven and all conspirators are outed. Unfortunately, it will only be preaching to the choir, as the MSM will completely cover it up.

This. So much this. Nobody can tell me that Obama’s CIA is any cleaner than his FBI or DOJ. Especially with a lunatic like Clapper in charge. Who would even give that guy a security clearance, let alone the directorship?
