VATICAN CITY — Pope Francis denounced abortion on Saturday as the "white glove" equivalent of the Nazi-era eugenics program and urged families to accept the children that God gives them.

I completely rejected the entire VC-11 debacle when it happened. Thankfully Tridentine Mass communities were almost immediately formed all over the world. Unfortunately, I now live over a hundred miles from the nearest one of them.

You interpretation of this passage is incorrect for an obvious reason: The divinely inspired sacred scriptures include the use of the word “father”! GET REAL!

I’m a traditionalist Catholic who firmly believes that one of the PRIMARY causes of the degradation and disintegration of western culture has been the failure the Church to teach and to PRACTICE the fundamental doctrines of the faith.

The people who give Holy Communion to unrepentant accomplices/cooperators of abortion, are in violation of Canon Law. All of them.

Sacrilegious reception or distribution of Holy Communion not an expression of Catholicism, but of anti-Catholicism on the part of the ministers of the Sacrament.

Actually,Pope Francis made two correct statements right in a row: one against gay 'marriage,' and one against abortion.

I know what you mean about "what's he going to say next?"

But when he says something that's actually Catholic, we have to give him credit -- him, and the Holy Spirit.

The French Popes at Avignon were not impostors; they were deserters.

In other words, they were legitimately elected, but were derelict in their duty.

St. Catherine of Siena, Doctor of the Church, finally got the pope to come back to Rome. But after that, the Church got 40 years of something worse: "dueling" conclaves, with different groups of Cardinals claiming to have elected the legitimate pope, resulting in a schismatic scramble for 40 years when two, and sometimes three men claiming the papacy at the same time.

So you see, the Church has been in a mell of a hess before, but --- thanks to the Holy Spirit--- survived it.
