Jeff Sessions: ‘Real Proud’ of FBI Director Wray’s Testimony on DOJ IG Report

Attorney General Jeff Sessions praised FBI Director Christopher Wray’s testimony on the Justice Department Inspector General report while discussing immigration and law enforcement in Scranton, Pennsylvania Friday.

“I was real proud of Chris Wray, the new director of the FBI, yesterday for his statements on the IG report,” Sessions told Lackawanna College. “We’re not going to be defensive. We’re going to confront any problems, and we’re going to deal with them one-by-one, in a proper, fair, and appropriate way.”

“We’re going to reaffirm and recommit ourselves to the first ideals of that great agency — the FBI — One of the greatest investigative agency, maybe the greatest in the history of the world, as far as I’m concerned,” he added. “If we make a mistake, we’re going to confront it.”

Wray defended the FBI Thursday in response to a scathing inspector general report that heavily criticized the actions of his predecessor in the Hillary Clinton email investigation.

Wray said the report only addresses a specific set of facts and the actions of a handful of officials. He says “nothing” in the report “impugns” the integrity of the FBI workforce as a whole.

Who ARE these people?
Wray is an obvious metrosexual wimp, Jeff Sessions is shockingly spineless, RR is such a weasel, Horowitz the coverup king.
How did they all get into the most significant posts of power in the Justice Dept. at the most important time maybe ever?
So disappointed in all these people and that there were not better stronger choices offered to PDJT at transition time. Mike Pence in charge?
Of course PDJT thought Jeff Sessions had his back. Which is now an obvious lie.

Hey Jeff, Christopher Wray did not arrest anyone who tried to undermine an election and are having innocent people’s lives turned upside down.
Is that what makes you so proud?

Even George W. Bush fired attorneys who weren’t representing his Administration. Why can’t Trump fire him?

The thing that’s needed is a way to ensure that the agency is nonpartisan, a hard thing in a political climate where an agency like that will accumulate leftists for the sake of the emoluments of a Federal career.

It really ought to be considered strictly forbidden to chat about personal political preferences or desires on systems used for government work. They can monitor their systems to do that, but it’s going to happen only if they are made to want to.

It’s the plasma intensity of the left which is, I believe, pushing Trump into believing he’s going to have to shame and coax these agencies into compliance with sanity.

Trump was complimentary about Wray. What say you about him?

>>Since nothing is going to change at the DoJ / FBI, brides are now acceptable.

Do they publish a rate schedule or are we supposed to negotiate individually? Or, are they going to make a bribe app for people to get the best price and rate the effectiveness of the bribed agents? Kind of an uber/airbnb for the FBI?

The problem with your defense of Sessions is that Trump is unhsppy with him as well.

If Trump is unhappy with him, what is he doing about then? He's his fricking boss!

You have no idea what is going on behind the scenes or what approach Trump is taking to all of this.

No, I'm not going to say 4D chess. But Trump has good instincts. There's a reason why he's keeping Sessions on board. So what if he trashes him on Twitter?

The IG didn’t really say “no bias”. The Summary and the actual report say different things. The report says no “documentary or testimonial” evidence of bias that could be linked to a specific agent as it related to a specific investigative decision.

That’s a lawyer like statement. Translation: Comey never wrote himself a memo saying “I’m going to hide Hillary’s emails to make sure she gets elected.”

Horowitz didn’t address the state of mind of each individual agent, he left that for us to infer from the voluminous evidence of obvious bias.

How much of the report was rewritten and by whom, we do not know. I suspect we’ll get a much clearer picture when Horowitz testifies on the 16th.

I wish he had worded things differently, but, he didn’t.

Any Jeffy supporters had enough yet?

Nope. I support Sessions, because I SUPPORT TRUMP. If Trump is keeping him on for some reason, then he deserves my support. Same as if Trump would fire Sessions tomorrow. I wouldn't shed a tear, because Trump is Sessions' boss.

Still think he is operating deep uncover with some BOMBSHELL purpose yet to come?

Odds are that you don't work at the DOJ. You don't know what the Hell is going on behind the scenes. I'd rather let it play out and let justice get served, even if it takes longer than expected.

Yes, I too am proud of Director Wray for instituting the agency wide objectivity training program everybody missed in their ‘Investigations 101’ classes.

Only seven years of college and law school must not allow enough time to learn basic things like not lying, not manufacturing evidence, not promising to off presidential candidates, not rigging elections.
