Full title................'This is harassment and racial profiling!' California woman forces Border Patrol agents off a Greyhound bus using the Fourth Amendment after they demanded to see everyone's documents......................The incident took place at a border post which used to be used to check for fruit being brought into California because of an invasive species of fly.
But on this occasion when the bus stopped, Smalls said the driver announced: 'We are being boarded by Border Patrol. Please be prepared to show your documentation upon request.'
Smalls said she stood up and began shouting: 'This is a violation of your Fourth amendment rights. You don't have to show them s***! This is illegal. We are not within 100 miles of an international border so that have no authority to ask you for anything. Tell them to f*** off!'

Wimpy BP. Need firing.
Send 'em to the Norsks or China. They'd fit right in.
Actually four...Highway 94, plus Interstates 8, 15, and 5.
The ones on 15 and 5 are to the north and operate sporadically, probably based on intel and/or random checks.
“Cuff and stuff for interfering with their legal duties”’’’’’
“Obstructing”, let her talk her way out of that one.
On the 15 and the 5, they are collocated with truck weigh stations.
OK thanks. I guess I wasn’t paying enough attention to notice the border patrol at the truck weigh stations.
I believe that the SCOTUS has ruled that when a sworn police officer (and that would include federal officers, like ICE) demands to see your identification, you can be detained without arrest, until your identity has been confirmed.
Or am I wrong?
Mark
I don’t believe it at all.
She’s totally right and they are not authorized to pull this.
I don't think the issue ever got to SCOTUS, but the 9th Circuit upheld this-- but only within a certain number of miles of the border.
TSA-Airport--Every person
Actually she’s right.
Not allowed to chew betel nut in Guam?
What part of that is profiling? They specifically asked everyone not selected illegals and SJWs.
dito! If it had been TSA they would have detained her for a cavity check.
Just north of Lawrence Welk Village, look up from your cell phone...
These “agricultural inspection” stations have been nothing but unconstitutional search points for drugs for decades... if they don’t see anything but suspect you’re transporting you can expect to get pulled over down the road for a taillight or crossing the yellow line... guaranteed.
Chaperone???
the state-line between Nevada and California is a border - a state border. And within 100 aeronautical miles of the international border.
I get the point about the bus needing a ticket to get on, and so ‘not open to the public’. The leos should have asked the bus driver to debark his passengers.
I dont remember one on the 15. There is one on the 5z.
