Sen. Chuck Schumer dismissed President Trump’s sitdown with North Korea's Kim Jong Un as nothing more than “a reality show summit.”
Schumer, speaking on the Senate floor Tuesday, said Trump has already given up American leverage on North Korea.
Schumer said if Pyongyang doesn't give up its nuclear weapons, the "meeting alone will be a victory for North Korea and a defeat for the U.S."
Sen. David Perdue (R-Ga.) said he was similarly surprised on Tuesday, telling reporters he is “very troubled” by the stalling of military exercises in the region.
“I was surprised, frankly, because the President had said earlier that that was not necessarily going to be part of the first meeting,” Perdue, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee said. “The coordination with South Korean military is absolutely critical.”

What was Clintoon and Obummer’s methodology for “dealing” with Pyongyang? Offering massive concessions, supplies, even money to the dictators with zero accountability and always immediate backstabbing in return. NOTHING those Rat fools did made any progress whatsoever.
Trump has proven them so very wrong and impotent that they can’t help but just cry out to try to stay relevant.

People like Schumer have no understanding of negotiations. They helped Obama sell out America in the Iran deal, getting nothing in exchange for billions. Trump is dealing with an extremely egotistical leader in the Little Rocket Man. Trump got NK’s attention by talking tough and making them realize the consequences of proceeding down the path of nuclear proliferation. By treating the NK leader as an equal on the world stage and making a couple of easily reversible concessions, he has Kim thinking that he may just be able to survive and keep his life of luxury if NK does disarm and allow open investment with the US and South Korea. Bush and Obama gave dictators no option but to stay and fight. Syria’s Assad saw what happened to Saddam Hussein and Mohamar Khadafy, and wisely chose to fight (otherwise his body would have been dragged out of a hole in the ground). Kim has seen the examples in the mid-east and he’s not going to make any concessions unless he thinks he has a chance to stay alive and wealthy. Trump should have offered to buy him a Villa in Southern France a la Baby Doc Duvalier.
Yea, let’s listen to Senators who have a track record of doing nothing.
