The US says its discussions with North Korea are moving "more quickly than expected" ahead of the summit in Singapore on Tuesday.
The preliminary talks between officials have been taking place ahead of the unprecedented first meeting.
The White House also confirms that President Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un will hold a one-on-one meeting, with only translators present.
The outcome may determine the fate of North Korea's nuclear programme.
The US insists it will accept nothing less than complete denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula.
North Korea has said it is willing to commit to denuclearisation, but that term is open to interpretation.
It is also unclear what concessions Pyongyang could demand in return - which makes the summit very hard to predict, according to analysts....

I’m enjoying this presser.
We have an amazing President who just finished his press conference in Singapore. While giving a report on the summit, he mentioned as an aside that he had not slept in 25 hours, as negotiations were actually occurring around the clock.
Then after his statement, for almost an hour he took questions from the US and international press, answering confidently, masterfully, intelligently, and diplomatically at times.
Much was revealed, as will soon be reported, and if you have time check out the video of it when it gets posted. I think you will enjoy it.
Right now, legions of democrats are coming up with talking points to play this down. We will see them run out D-list talking heads out there to say the most outragous things until one of them resonates with the base long enough to dominate the weekend news cycle.
I imagine that they’ll be saying “Trump got played” by 8am, “trump will get us into war” by 9am and “this is why Obama deserves another nobel prize” by the 6pm news.

What an outstanding video. Even the narrator’s voice projects just the right tone. Someone deserves a lot of credit for creating this video. The earliest it could have been finished is only one day prior to its showing, incorporating pictures of Trump and Kim in Singapore. Wow!

DJT is a guy THAT knows how to deal and the work he himself has to put in to make it work, not a bunch of low level lackeys at DOS that think it’s just a 9-5 job, with an hour lunch and then get smashed after work. That 1000 mph was all above 60k feet, by the time he was at 20k he was slowed to about 200 mph by atmospherics. 125 mph by 10k. Its just drag and physics.

Anyway seismology is at the point that they can tell what type of energy event it is. If it was us throwing “Rods from God”, I imagine we would have hear more then we did. The anti-Trump paranoia would have demanded it.

No, this would have been last fall when there was a series of small to medium quakes over there. The Norks lost maybe 200 people in the collapse of a tunnel at their Punggye-ri nuclear site sometime in September, likely while preparing a spectacular show for Party Foundation Day, October 10th.
If those were scientists and technical staff in the tunnel it would have put a serious crimp in Nork nuclear plans.
The tunnel collapse is getting explained as due to weakening of the geology from previous bomb testing. Maybe so. But the timing is curious. It was very convenient for nature to catch all of those people in the tunnel.
And even more curious in the aftermath is the Nork’s sudden and amazing transformation from Belligerent Nuclear World Blackmailers to Peaceloving Wannabe McDonalds Franchisers.
