The US says its discussions with North Korea are moving "more quickly than expected" ahead of the summit in Singapore on Tuesday.
The preliminary talks between officials have been taking place ahead of the unprecedented first meeting.
The White House also confirms that President Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un will hold a one-on-one meeting, with only translators present.
The outcome may determine the fate of North Korea's nuclear programme.
The US insists it will accept nothing less than complete denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula.
North Korea has said it is willing to commit to denuclearisation, but that term is open to interpretation.
It is also unclear what concessions Pyongyang could demand in return - which makes the summit very hard to predict, according to analysts....

I personally, with no evidence to speak of, think that a non-explosive penetration device somehow made its way to the nuclear testing site in North Korea and caused the facility to “shut down”.
Dropped from a high enough height, even a large iron beam would do sufficient damage, although a very large, nicely shaped, depleted uranium plug would be much more convincing.
And Kim would know that it wouldn’t take much for his palace to accidentally disappear in the same way.
Trump’s secret weapon has always been being underestimated. As many have learned, including 16 primary challengers and the smartest woman in the world.
I can’t take it Mr. President; I can’t handle all this winning.

I think that Red China has told them that tis guy is for real, the exact opposite of Mr. Obama, and that they’d better hear him out, at the least. I could see Trump ordering a SLBM strike on all major targets if they keep threatening us, which I didn’t see the last three or four presidents doing.

Personally it would not surprise me if the deal was already struck and this is just the show.

I’d be happier if they’d just go to a truly secluded island, have their discussions, then come out with the results. Too much he said, she said, press speculation that I suspect is a distraction. Me, I’m tuning it out until it is over.
