Coaches, Parents Question Policy For High School Transgender Athletes

The success of transgender female athletes participating in high school track and field events has parents, athletes and coaches in some communities calling for a change in the current rules, as they question a possible competitive advantage.

The Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference, which governs high school sports in the state, allows athletes to compete in the gender specific sport in which they identify. Continued success by transgender athletes has prompted two petitions — one started in Glastonbury and another in Plainville — from critics who say transgender athletes have an advantage. Together, the petitions have about 150 signatures, though neither has been submitted to CIAC officials.

“I think it’s unfair to the girls who work really hard to do well and qualify for Opens and New Englands,” said Glastonbury sophomore sprinter Selina Soule, who finished sixth in the 100-meter State Open final Monday. “These girls, they’re just coming in and beating everyone. I have no problem with them wanting to be a girl.”

“This is the unintended consequence of radical feminism.”

Why do you believe it was unintentional?

You mean, it's "possible" that boys are stronger, faster, and more aggressive than girls?

Your male toxicity is showing.../S

Yeah. I just read that "average" 14 year old boys beat "top category very fit young adult women in service academies" in virtually every category of track and field.

Duh.

If this spreads to college I can see a juicy Title IX lawsuit. By REAL women against men who pretend to be women. Or more precisely, by REAL women against colleges and universities who allow men who claim to be women to compete as women.

Look in Google Images for transgender athletes' pictures.

These are the "girls" that are going to beat your daughter to a pulp.

Why do we even have more than one bathroom? There should just be one uni-sex/uni-gender bathroom. Everyone uses the same bathroom.

You may be shocked that I would write that but that is essentially what we have now. Of course, it would be madness but the best way to get rid of a bad law is to prosecute it to the extreme.(Lincoln?)

It would destroy the retail sector. No one would want to use the bathrooms so they just wouldnt go to the mall.

The retail sector would not let that happen. They would put all of their weight behind changing the law. It is called recruiting allies.

I think it was unintentional because a lot of radical feminists are openly opposed to these men competing in women’s sports.

Title IX will be exposed as a comical piece of legislation. If anything, it’s fear of Title IX lawsuits that drives schools to let these freaks compete in women’s sports.

“Title IX will be exposed as a comical piece of legislation.”

Which is why a lawsuit pitting women against pretend women might “expose the contradictions” as the communists like to say.

Feminists are getting a hard lesson in men and women are very different. I feel sorry for the innocent girls that have to deal with this crap.

“,,,success of transgender female athletes...”

The trouble s, they’re not “transgender female athletes”: they’re guys. Generally speaking, when guys play agai8nst the girls, the guys win.

Should be too obvious to require saying, but American society has gone stupid.
