Anthony Bourdain, a gifted storyteller and writer who took CNN viewers around the world, has died. He was 61. CNN confirmed Bourdain's death on Friday and said the cause of death was suicide.

Another dead Trump hater ...
Suicides and liberal progressive a##es we now have a confirmed mental illness connection
Did not like him the first time I watched one of his travel food shows. Looked like a miserable liberal with a foul mouth.
Rough Crowd tonight...
Agreed.
Dear LIEberals, no need to off yourselves. Theres always Canada and for you extreme socialists with a tyrannical bent why Venezuela beckons you. Dont die just self deport and enjoy a long life of Lieberalism untethered.
He didn’t and he was probably running his mouth. He’s dead.
I’m glad you hold yourself to his level of discourse.
“Virtue signal much?”
I don’t care what you think of me. I’m an anonymous screen name on the internet, same as you.
As is always the case, sadly. Free Republic used to be a lot classier.
Suicide with how many needles sticking out of his arms and bottles of booze and various means of sicko kinky stuff in the room? A vile creature. Wow, just 61. He looked much older.
Dutch Queens Sister I nés Zorreguieta. She was involved in a youth program in Argentina.
REMINDER TO EVERYONE: At Free Republic, we have a longstanding tradition of not celebrating on the obituary thread of anyone but the most vile liberals and globalists (examples: Ted Kennedy, John McCain, George Soros.) Anthony was not such an example. Please do not descend to Democrat Underground levels.
We may just need to remind everyone. I've done so.
Indeed. I suppose they ruled out autoerotic asphyxiation?
Generally speaking, so did I.
One bit of wisdom I did gather from him was his admonition to never eat at buffet, and never eat at restaurant on a Monday or Tuesday. The buffet and the early days in the week are where restaurants unload spoiling and "iffy" and out-of-date food. Good advice from the late Tony B.
There was an interview back in 2006, I believe, where Anthony Bourdain was asked about people who are over the age of 35 that want to get into culinary.
His answer was simple, and rather direct... “Forget it, bub. Your creativity is gone, you don’t have the speed, and your taste buds are shot.”
When I read those words, I was 47 years old, and in culinary arts school. Suffice it to say, that didn’t do wonders for my confidence.
At current, I am working in culinary, or at least Food Service. Maybe I am not as fast as some of the younger folks, but my taste buds aren’t shot, and my creativity is still there. So, Anthony Bourdain was wrong.
It is kind of a shock to hear that he offed himself, but the guy did struggle with drugs quite a bit. Some things you just can’t shake.
Yes....he did have a dark personality.
It is where the liberal cult ends up. Sad.
I enjoyed his books, "Kitchen Confidential" and "A Cook's Tour." And I rarely missed an episode of "No Reservations" on the Travel Network. I stopped watching him, however, when he moved to CNN because unlike many so-called conservatives, I refuse to watch CNN for any reason.
Although I am well-aware that AB is an uber-lib, his political views were not a big part of his message in the years that I followed him. I have been told by people who have followed his entire career that his liberal politics became obvious once he moved to CNN. Well duh!
Suspicious timing...right after the arrest of the leaker in DC:

Hopefully the French investigate this ‘suicide’ a bit better than we non-investigated Scalia’s death, I wouldn’t put anything past our Deep State.
