The idea of a Bay Area "exodus" is no joke, and appears to be growing more vivid and real with each year.
A poll released Sunday by a local advocacy group showed that 46 percent of Bay Area residents surveyed said they want to move out of the area within the next few years. That number is up from 34 percent in 2016 and 40 percent last year in the same poll.
The survey was a joint effort by advocacy group Bay Area Council and public opinion data firm EMC Research. The poll involved 1,000 registered voters in the Bay Area.
The reason for the urge to leave might be pretty obvious, at least to anyone knowledgeable on California: It's just too expensive. Cost of living (45 percent) and housing prices (27 percent) were the main reasons cited among the 461 residents who said they want out.

Do “half” of Bay-Area residents support real conservatives at elections? On their Facebook pages? To co-workers?
No? I didn’t think so
Screw them.
Locusts. Devour the crop and move on to the next.
BUILD A WALL! QUICK!.............................
My best friends daughter is leaving the Bay Area in three weeks. Just cannot stand the cost, the filth and the attitude anymore. And shes Conservative.
Any say they want to move out because the area is so liberal?
They are moving to a RED STATE and just like the Black Plague, they will destroy your state and way of conservative life.
I wished these leftards would just stay within their designated Rat holes.
They are doing their best to ruin nevada already. 4 dollar gas, and cant swing a dead cat without hitting a kale restaurant
Varney had the governor of Idaho on his program this morning and asked him if all the liberals leaving CA for ID weren’t going to screw up his state. The Governor is delusional, he didn’t think so.
We don’t want any of them in Texas - they should try Venezuela or Cuba - they should be happy there.
Stay the hell out of Texas!!!! We have our hands full already... so...No libs wanted...PERIOD!!
The sad thing is in 20 years when San Francisco looks like Detroit they still won’t believe it was because of liberal policies.
Socialist always want more socialism.
For everybody else..............................
We are moving out next year, and we’re conservative. Hubby is a California native and loves backpacking in the Sierras. Never thought he’d want to leave, and he’s more ready to move than I am.
They would not be happy for ten seconds. Progressives like the Idea of Socialism, but not the Reality.
The politically correct answer. The real reasons are the homeless, drug addicts, filthy streets littered with feces and illegal aliens. Welcome to the future of America.
We moved from a very liberal state to a very conservative one. It is SO much better in every way.
Nothing to do with PEOPLE CRAPPING ON THE SIDEWALKS?? NOTHING to do with NEEDLES EVERYWHERE???
NOTHING to do with GAY EVERYTHING?
Freezing cold in the winter (think slipping and breaking hip or arm, here), hotter than heck in the summer (and dry enough to add 10 years to your skin), and it's not unusual to see open carry of firearms. (Wanna see a really BIG mountain lion or rattlesnake? Idaho is your state.)
I suspect that most progressives would not be happy in Idaho (or any Mountain State), and would be more satisfied in less remote areas where they can lead more leisurely lifestyles and have more services and amenities available to them.
